• Oliver Queen : I'm starting to regret not packing my intergalactic dictionary about now. No way these are Celtic.

  Kara : No. They're Apokolyptian.

  [sees Kara trapped in a ray beam] 

  Oliver Queen : You're Clark's cousin, Kara, right?

  Kara : Yeah.

  Oliver Queen : How long have you been down here? I got to get you out.

  Kara : No, wait. It'll kill you.

  [she throws a rock at the ray beam, the rock disintegrates] 

  Oliver Queen : Right. Okay. There's got to be some way to turn off this death ray from hell.

• Jor-El : [voice]  There are two paths laid before you, Kara. You can leave Earth now and allow Kal-El to embrace his destiny, or you can stay and help him, risking the future of this planet.

  Kara : Kal-El and I have fought Darkseid before.

  Jor-El : [voice]  You involved Kal-El against my wishes. He was too weak then, and he was almost overcome by darkness. You have grown strong. Your will is no longer at the mercy of my command. You will need that strength to forge your own path. It is in your hands to choose.

  Kara : You want me to just walk away?

  Jor-El : [voice]  Kara, your own destiny is written. It is in another place and time. But this is Kal-El's battle, and he must fight it alone. Even though a time will come when he turns away from me, in the end, he will make the right decision. He is ready. This is his time.

  Kara : He's the only family I have left. I have to at least warn him.

  Jor-El : [voice]  Sometimes the greatest sacrifice a person can make is to give up what they hold most dear.

• Oliver Queen : So let me get this straight - whoever wields the Bow of Orion can use it to vanquish darkness. Is that what you're saying?

  Kara : According to the prophecy, yeah.

  Oliver Queen : Well, that's me. Think about it - a bow, right? The medium is the message.

  Kara : You never told me why you were seeking it.

  Oliver Queen : Well, promise you won't tell anyone, but I'm trying to change my fate. The Bow of Orion is the key. It worked for him, right?

  Kara : Only after he found the strength to turn away from the darkness, even though that meant turning away from his father.

  Oliver Queen : Orion is Darkseid's son.

  Kara : Yes. He was raised by some who believes in spreading the light instead of the darkness his birth-father created. And eventually he swore to serve that light instead.

• Kara : The Bow of Orion.

  Oliver Queen : Yeah. What do you know about it?

  Kara : You're looking for it, without Clark?

  Oliver Queen : So are you, apparently.

  Kara : I have my reasons.

  Oliver Queen : So do I.

  Kara : Mine have to do with protecting Clark. Who are you here to save?

  Oliver Queen : Right now, you're topping my list.

• Kara : It looks like another one of Orion's tests to see if we're worthy.

  Oliver Queen : If this is about balancing light and darkness, it's gonna require two shots to open the door, one from each symbol.

  Kara : Which also means they have to hit at exactly the same time.

  Oliver Queen : Sort of like a bank shot.

  [taking a collapsible bow out of his bag and handing it to her] 

  Oliver Queen : [seeing her look]  It's easier than it looks. Just point and shoot, really.

• Kara : You really trust me to do this?

  Oliver Queen : Well, it's like you said, if Clark trusts you, that's enough for me.

  [taking aim together] 

  Oliver Queen : Now.

  [letting their arrows fly, they hit their targets and the door opens] 

  Oliver Queen : Nice shooting, partner.

  Kara : Thanks.

  [taking a step forward, she groans in pain and holds her head as she hears a ringing in her ears] 

  Oliver Queen : Kara, are you all right? What's wrong? Is this another trap?

  Kara : It's Jor-El. I have to leave. You have to retrieve the bow and deliver it to Clark. I'm trusting you now.

• Oliver Queen : You say this is a prophecy.

  Kara : Yes. One that heralds the end of the world.

  Oliver Queen : Naturally. What's the rest of it say? Can you read anything else?

  Kara : That a balance must exist between light and darkness, and to wield the bow's power and save the world, hands must first right the scale's two sides.

  Oliver Queen : [looking around]  "Hands must first right the scale's two sides."

  [glancing at the mark of Orion on one wall and the Omega on another] 

  Oliver Queen : This guy Orion was so concerned about balancing everything out, maybe we just need to add to one side of the scale.

  Kara : No. I considered that. But the Omega is a symbol of darkness. Of the enemy.

  Oliver Queen : So I've heard. I'm just thinking that if I touch it, maybe a balance will be struck. Or we could be stuck down here for centuries. Your call.

  Kara : Clark trusts you. I suppose that's enough for me.
