Ted Kord, who runs Kord Industries and is looking for the "scarab", is the "Blue Beetle" in the DC Comic Universe.
In Booster Gold's publicity shows, complete with Booster Gold Dancers, music identified by subtitles only as "Rock Music" plays. The music is an adaptation of the band Focus' hit from the early '70s: 'Hocus Pocus'. The song was revived in 2010 as Nike's theme for their World Cup commercials.
Eric Martsolf, who portrays Booster Gold, also played Justin Hartley's character's brother on the NBC soap opera Passions.
