- Chuck Shurley: So what's it all add up to? It's hard to say. But me, I'd say this was a test... for Sam and Dean. And I think they did all right. Up against, Good, Evil, angels, devils, Destiny, and God himself, they made their own choice. They chose family. And, well... isn't that kinda the whole point? No doubt - endings are hard. But then again... nothing ever really ends, does it?
- Chuck Shurley: The Impala, of course, has all the things other cars have. And a few things they don't. But none of that stuff is important. This is the stuff that's important: the army man that Sam crammed into the ashtray, it's still stuck there. The Legos that Dean shoved into the vents, to this day, heat comes on, they can hear them rattle. These are the things that make the car theirs, really theirs. Even when dean rebuilt it from the ground up, he made sure all these little things stayed. 'Cause its the blemishes that make her beautiful.
- Lucifer: Sorry if it's a bit chilly. Most people think I burn hot, it's actually quite the opposite.
- Dean Winchester: Well, I'll alert the media.
- Sam Winchester: Take care of these guys, okay?
- Castiel: [sighs lightly] That's not possible.
- Sam Winchester: [chuckles] Then humor me.
- Castiel: Oh. I was supposed to lie.
- Sam Winchester: [chuckles again]
- Castiel: [with attempted nonchalance] Uh... Sure. They'll be fine. I...
- Sam Winchester: Just- just... stop talking.
- Castiel: The only thing you're going to see out there is Michael killing your brother.
- Dean Winchester: Well, then I ain't gonna let him die alone.
- Sam Winchester: ALL RIGHT! WE'RE HERE, YOU SONS OF BITCHES! COME AND GET IT!
- [Two demons walk up to Sam and Dean]
- Dean Winchester: Hi, guys.
- [Referring to Lucifer]
- Dean Winchester: Is your father home?
- Castiel: You got what you asked for, Dean. No paradise, no hell, just more of the same. I mean it, Dean. What would you rather have: peace... or freedom?
- Sam Winchester: Hey, um. On the subject, there's something I gotta talk to you about.
- Dean Winchester: What?
- Sam Winchester: This thing goes our way, and I triple lindy into that box... you know I'm not comin' back.
- Dean Winchester: Yeah, I'm aware.
- Sam Winchester: So, you gotta promise me something.
- Dean Winchester: Okay. Yeah, anything.
- Sam Winchester: You gotta promise not to try to bring me back.
- Dean Winchester: What? No, I didn't sign up for that.
- Sam Winchester: Dean...
- Dean Winchester: Your hell is gonna make my tour look like Graceland! You want me just to sit by and do nothin'?
- Sam Winchester: Once the cage is shut you can't go poking at it, Dean, it's too risky.
- Dean Winchester: No, no, no, no. As if I'm just gonna let you *rot* in there.
- Sam Winchester: [Adamantly] Yeah, you are. You don't have a choice.
- Dean Winchester: You can't ask me to do this.
- Sam Winchester: I'm sorry, Dean. You have to.
- Dean Winchester: So, what am I supposed to do?
- Sam Winchester: You go find Lisa. You pray to God she's dumb enough to take you in. You have barbeques, and... go to football games. You go live some normal, apple pie life, Dean. *Promise* me.
- [Dean looks at him, but doesn't answer]
- Sam Winchester: Dean. What's goin' on?
- Dean Winchester: I'm in.
- Sam Winchester: In with...?
- Dean Winchester: The whole up with satan thing. I'm on board.
- Sam Winchester: [Skeptical] You're gonna let me say yes.
- Dean Winchester: No. That's the thing. It's not *on* me to *let* you do anything. You're a grown, well *over* grown man. If this is what you want, I'll back your play.
- Sam Winchester: That's the last thing I thought you'd ever say.
- Dean Winchester: Might be. I'm not gonna lie to you though. It goes against every fiber I got. I mean, the truth is... watching out for you? It's kinda been my job, you know? But, more than that, it's... it's kinda who I am. But, you're not a kid anymore, Sam. And I can't keep treatin' you like one. Maybe I gotta grow up a little, too. I don't know if we gotta a snowball's chance... But... But I do know that if anybody can do it, it's you.
- Sam Winchester: [It means everything to hear Dean say that. Softly] Thank you.
- Dean Winchester: If this is what you want... Is this really what you want?
- Sam Winchester: I let him out. I gotta put him back in.
- Dean Winchester: Okay. That's it then.
- Lucifer: Come on Sam I've never lied to you, you could at least pay me the same respect. It's OK I'm not mad. A wrestling match inside your noggin', I like the idea. Just you and me, one round, no tricks. You win, you jump in the hole, I win, well then I win. What d'ya say Sam? A fiddle of gold against your soul says I'm better than you.
- Lucifer: [Lucifer in Sam's body] Castiel. Did you just molotov my brother, with holy fire?
- Dean Winchester: [Dean advances on Castiel with a very intense look]
- Castiel: Uh, no.
- Lucifer: No one dicks with Michael, but me.
- [Snaps his fingers and Castiel explodes in a rain of blood and chunks of meat]
- Sam Winchester: [Standing with Dean over the open trunk containing several jugs of demon blood. Faced with what he has to do, he can't look at Dean] You mind not watchin' this?
- Castiel: It's starting.
- Dean Winchester: Yeah, you think, genius?
- Castiel: ...You don't have to be mean.
- Dean Winchester: What do we do now?
- Castiel: I suggest we imbibe copious quantities of alcohol...
