Another Lifetime whodunit with an unexpected twist!
Chartreuse113 November 2022
Jacob is a rebellious teen who is suspected of killing his own brother, Ayden in a rock climb race when he falls to his death and no one else seems to be at the scene. Marianne, Jacob's mother, doesn't believe Jacob did it even though the circumstantial evidence is mounting against him. His father and mother are divorced and dad thinks his son did it, also, which doesn't help since Jacob hasn't been arrested and bad blood forms between them. A hounding detective has been assigned to investigate the case to find out if Jacob did it, also but did he is still speculation. A good script and a solid cast makes this an interesting watch! Definitely recommended!

Better than expected (potential mild spoilers)

I think I've finally hit middle age, I'm obsessed with documentaries about killers and movies in a Lifetime stylee! Although I love them, I'm not a fan of showing the baddy at the beginning then warping into the future. And this my friends, is where MDS differs, albeit slightly... Some good acting with the exception of Dad, I thought he was awful at the beginning, sorry Dad. A few little twists, a bit like being on the Mouse at Blackpool (UK), nice locations & houses helped to make this an enjoyable little time filler. Ho hum still got 78 characters, oh yeah, the son was really good looking haha, 30 years younger and all that lols 😂

correct

Not impressive but correct crafted. A death, a suspect, the conviction of mother and suspicions of father, provves incriminating a young man, old story of Cain and Abel and a twist just fair crafted. I do not ignore the good looking Noah Fearnley and good effort of Rene Ashton to offer the portrait of mother are good points for a film more about family than about a murder.

Sure, cliches and couple familiar scenes, but a reasonable job, honest construction of tension and few not bad spicy scenes. Enough for a correct film proposing few questions - as sketches, indeed, and a not surprising but acceptable end..

"Enigmatic Allure: Another Lifetime's Tempting Tango of Beauty and Betrayal"

Warning: Spoilers
"Mother'sDeadly Son" beckons viewers into a mysterious realm where the tendrils of familial discord intertwine with the shadows of suspicion, all cast against the backdrop of Noah Fearnley's captivating allure. As Jacob, Fearnley emerges as a beacon of physical perfection, his finely chiseled physique and arresting good looks promising a cinematic journey into uncharted territories.

Within the tumultuous narrative, Marianne, portrayed by an actress whose emotional delivery is regrettably marred by wooden theatrics, grapples with unwavering conviction in Jacob's innocence. The divorced father injects palpable tension into the familial drama, yet his portrayal, like others, succumbs to predictability, leaving audiences craving more nuanced performances.

The relentless detective, a shadowy figure in pursuit of truth, injects an element of mystery into the unfolding drama. However, the film hesitates to definitively answer the question of Jacob's guilt, leaving viewers ensnared in a web of speculation.

Noah Fearnley, the film's potential luminary, grapples with a role that demands emotional depth yet to be fully explored. His physical presence becomes a canvas yearning for the brushstrokes of refined acting, and while he exhibits convincing facets of his character, the film falters in extracting the full spectrum of his abilities.

Sporadic interludes, particularly the intimate scenes, showcase Noah's undeniable on-screen charisma with a palpable realism that captivates. The film, however, falls short by not delving deeper into these moments, leaving a void that could have enriched the narrative and heightened Fearnley's allure.

Noah's portrayal of Jacob, styled with finesse by the proficient wardrobe and makeup team, is a visual feast. His aesthetic appeal becomes an integral aspect of the film, yet the overall allure is dimmed by the film's failure to transcend the superficial.

Despite Noah's magnetic presence and the unexpected twists interwoven into its fabric, "Mother'sDeadly Son" earns a modest score of 4/10. The film struggles to break free from the constraints of its lackluster execution, leaving audiences yearning for a more evocative and immersive exploration of its intriguing premise, one that fully harnesses the enchanting charisma promised by its lead.

#AnotherLifetimeAllure @noahfearnleyy.

Warning: Spoilers
This was one of the Lifetime TV movies where I easily guessed the villain as soon as they had their first scene. Yes indeed I correctly guessed Brittany Underwood as being the evil villain. The plot had so little twists and turns that it just bored me.

I have seen Rene Ashton in a few Lifetime movies and have always been on the fence with her acting. But I just about had it with her in this movie. She can only act in one specific way. Her characters without a fail always resemble that of a strict disciplinarian mom. In fact she goes way over the top in her roles and her crisp dry strictness just amplify. She is never convincing in her roles and always irritates the viewer.

The story was not too bad but the actors were just terrible, With regards to the father, the way the movie was unfolding. The way he acted it seemed like Aiden was his biological son and Jason wasn't. What father would ever doubt that his younger son could kill his brother. In fact I thought he was pretty much obnoxious, and at the end when he asked Jason for forgiveness, Jason should have just socked him one on the face.

I would not pay to watch this movie.
