Good Actors, Weak Script
stevendbeard22 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I saw Hayride To Hell, starring Bill Moseley-3 From Hell, The Devil's Rejects; Kane Hodder-the Hatchet movies, the Friday the 13th movies; Allyson Malandra-7th Secret, Alpha Rift and Shelby Hightower-Freak, All_American Boy.

This is a low budget horror film with some good actors-Bill & Kane-from some good horror franchises but a weak script. Bill plays a farmer in a small town that puts on a Halloween hayride every year. It has fairly simple scares and the townspeople seem to enjoy it, all except for a few people. Kane plays the local sheriff that doesn't like Bill and Allyson plays a local politician that wants Bills' land to build condos on. Bill has money problems paying the taxes on his farm and the hayrides help to pay them but Allyson wants him to shut it down so she can start building. Bill makes a deal with Allyson that if he can not scare her on the hayride, he will give up his land. But, if he can scare her, he gets to keep it and she has to leave him alone. She agrees, saying nothing he can do will scare her and he takes the challenge. Shelby plays Bill's niece that helps him set up the new and improved hayride from hell. From here, things are pretty predictable with lots of gory killings.

It's rated NR but it contains violence, grisly images and language.

It's not one that I would buy on DVD but if you are interested in seeing it, you might want to stream it.

Awesome Movie.

Saw this movie at the premier at the Colonia Theater in Phoenixville, PA. This was a fun movie. Lots of over the top gore and unnecessary violence but that's what I expected going into it. I hope this gets picked up by a big company and gets distributed everywhere. Kane Hodder and Bill Mosely were amazing as usual. However; I feel the supporting cast is what made this movie great. You fell in love with the good guy supporting characters and cheered when the bad guy supporting characters met their demise.

I kind of hope they somehow make a sequel. Both the writers and the director are really talented and I'm now a huge fan. I'll be following them going forward and I hope they continue to put out great content like this movie.
