Much has been said about the ethics of journalism in the context of the Sushant Singh Rajput case. However, there is something to be noted about how the coverage has only painted the women so far as consumers and/or solicitors of marijuana in the chats. Baby is Neeraj Pandey’s second outing with Akshay Kumar and his third with Anupam Kher after Special 26 and A Wednesday respectively. It also stars Rana Daggupati (Dum Maaro Dum) and Tapsee Pannu (Chasme Badoor) in pivotal roles.
Arguably, Baby is a film that does not need songs, but a short 4-track album accompanies it all the same. However, it is 4 less then the number of tracks featured in Special 26, which indicates that Pandey does appreciate that his kind of cinema can do without songs.
Baby features compositions from Meet Bros Anjjan (Kick) and Mm Kreem (Special 26) with lyrics by Manoj Muntasir.
The album commences with Beparwah, a welcome departure from Meet Bros Anjjan’s earlier offerings. The engaging orchestrations coupled with Apeksha Dandekar’s powerful rendition of Muntair’s aptly penned lyrics make it for a good listen. Unfortunately, the Mba Swag version of the track is unremarkable.

The one thing that makes him confident is the fact that he has first-hand seen the Internet Broadband war and has converted that experience into his first directorial venture.
While talking about this, director says, “If I say Sonali Cable is my story, it won’t be wrong. Seven – eight years ago when I used to write for television, I had to send a story on urgent basis anyhow, when I was done with story and was about to send that time my internet connection failed. This happened during the time when our cell phones did not have internet and it was late at night, no cyber cafes were open. I was worried but that time I remembered an 18 years old girl’s number who used to work for that internet service provider.

"I am playing the lead in 'Cabaret' and this is one of the most challenging and difficult roles of my life. (But) I am confident of the film as Pooja has shown immense faith in me. The film will go on floors by November," Gulshan told Ians.
Delhi-based ad filmmaker Kaustav Narayan will go behind the camera to direct the film, his first.
Seen in "Shaitan", "Hate Story", and "Dum Maaro Dum", Gulshan has signed two films with Pooja.

After being almost two years in the making, Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 3 finally sees the light of the day this November the 4th. As expected brother Rajesh Roshan does the music for the film. Some say that Pancham, R D Burman, felt that one of the most impressive musicians around is Rajesh Roshan. Whilst the composer has given us some classic albums in the 90s, Koyla, Karan Arjun and Papa Kehte Hai, to name a few, come the millennium we hear very little from the composer except for his work for his brother’s films and the occasional exceptions. Time to see if his latest album for the home production lives up to the high expectations.
Mamta Sharma (‘Munni Badnaam’ – Dabangg) opens the album with Krrish Title track along with Anirudh Bola and Rajesh Roshan’s contribution, although Mama remains the leading voice of the track. Rajesh mixes classical Indian music themes with techno.

Ayushmann Khurana who instantly hit to fame with his super hit debut Vicky Donor in 2012 is said to have been showing his starry tantrums. If the rumors are to be believed, Khurana has backed out from Ramesh Sippy’s untitled film. Sippy has directed blockbusters like Seeta Aur Geeta, Shaan, Sholay amongst many others with Zamana Deewana being the last movie directed by him 18 years ago. However, Ramesh Sippy continued to be the producer for movies like Kuch Naa Kaho, Bluffmaster, Dum Maaro Dum directed by his son Rohan Sippy. The VJ turned actor was last seen in Nautanki Saala, another flick directed and produced by the father-son duo.
Sr. Sippy, who announced his return to directing films two years back, finalized Ayushmaan for the lead role of his film – a remake of a foreign movie. But the actor who confirmed the film has supposedly backed out at the last moment.

Sequel fever is still raging on, this time Akshay Kumar steps into Shoaib’s shoes for Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobara, with Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha joining Milan Thuria’s gangster drama. Pritam is back with this new album and he has already captured the airwaves with the melodious ‘Yeh Tune Kya Kiya’ and the remake of ‘Tayyab Ali’ from Amar Akbar Anthony which has not produced too much vitriol just yet. The album is quite good and sticks to the elements that made the previous album a raging success: kitsch and qawallis!
The standout of the album is Yeh Tune Kya Kiya , which would seem to conjure up more lamenting and accusatory lyrics, but this one is a dreamy qawalli that tweaks this expression around. Listeners may bristle at Javed Bashir blunt and raw vocals, but it’s that quality that makes Rajat Arora’s lyrics...

One of the most dazzling events to kick start the Times of India Film Awards was the opening night’s Musical Extravaganza held Thursday night at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. Hosted by the peppy and energetic Neha Dhupia, the concert featured Sunidhi Chauhan, Mohit Chauhan, Hard Kaur, Shalmali Kholgade, Abbas Hassan, and Kavita Seth. It was an evening full of wild flames, wonderful dancing, but felt rather improvisatory and rushed.
The event started a full half an hour late, which you can naturally forgive given the amount of prepwork that goes into pulling off such a huge event. When we hit the show running, choreographer Shiamak Davar decided on the unconventional route and sang his signature tune, ‘Jaane Kisne’. Instead of bringing out his troupe, Davar sang his tune around the stage alongside two dancers conveying that yearning and hope to the seductive beat. Davar can hold a tune...

No one could see this coming but it has happened. Even before her first film with Yash Raj is yet to release, newbie Rhea Chakraborty has been lapped by Rohan Sippy for his next film which is interestingly titled Sonali Cable.
"Rhea would be making her Bollywood debut with Mere Dad Ki Maruti. Even though she has a three film contract with Yash Raj, she is free to work in outside productions. The one which she has consented to is Sonali Cable", informs a source.
The film is about a cable centre run by a girl named Sonali. Though the title indicates a comic film in the offering, something which is also the genre of Rhea's Mere Dad Ki Maruti, there would be fair deal of intense scenes as well in Sonali Cable.
"Incidentally this is also a woman centric film which is in sharp contrast to Rohan's Nautanki Saala!

He further said that irrespective of the number of critics, it all boils down to personal choice.

As the new comedy Student of the Year suggests, translating a title can so easily raise a Bollywood film's profile abroad
One thing I can't get my head around in Bollywood films is all that swapping between Hindi and English (do people really do that in India?). Breaking into English seems to happen for a few reasons: speaking to English people; indicating social class; characters giving it a bit of attitude; for gratuitous dramatic emphasis. The last three apply (often simultaneously) in the preppy new comedy Student of the Year, about the lengths ridiculously chiselled students go to get ahead at the ridiculously chipper St Theresa's high school, where English is obviously part of the heritage. But one usage in the film stands out: the title.
Having an English title is a sign that a film, like the students, has aspirations. I'm always amazed that so few Bollywood films translate...

Finally, after years of abstinence from what he was born to do, Ramesh Sippy is all set to return to direction. For the fans of Sippy's timeless cinema-and we refer not just to the pioneering Sholay but also to the equally powerful Shakti, Saagar, Seeta Aur Geeta and Andaz - the return of the maestro to movie-making is a significant sign of the changing time in Bollywood where the giants had lost the will and the way to create landmarks. Says Sippy, "I am aware I haven't directed a film for many years. But, I saw no reason to jump into it just because of a time lapse. I've made films out of very powerful scripts in the past. Then I directed Zamana Deewana in 1995, which was not that strong in content. Then I decided if I found no script worth shooting, I won't direct another film if I didn't get the right script.

Best friends for life, Abhishek Bachchan and Rohan Sippy have decided to take a break from one another. After starring in all the three films that Rohan Sippy has directed (Kuch Na Kaho, Bluffmaster and Dum Maaro Dum) Abhishek Bachchan has decided to take a break from all things Sippy.
The actor currently exploring an area beyond his comfort zone working with directors who aren't necessarily personal friends (e.g Rohit Shetty) has opted out of Rohan Sippy's next to make way for Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunal Roy Kapoor who will do what appears to be a buddy-buddy film on the lines of Bluffmaster.
