Warning: Spoilers
This episode is about a woman named Kitty found dead in a animal cage believed to be killed by a tiger she frequently visited. The animal eats part of the woman and the police find out the chain had been shortened so the tiger could not get to his food bowel. Dr Ogden finds she died by a stab wound and then eaten by the hungry tiger after her death.

Murdoch has all the circus people brought in to the police station and it is like a menagerie of nuts. They are all in costume and take over the police dept. Murdoch's boss is pretty mad and wants them out. They refer to each other as "freaks" or "normal". Freaks are the ones that are different like a man that has hair all over is face like a wolf or normal some who have an act in the circus but no odd body traits.

It is discovered that there is jealousy between some of the men and women. Some are former lovers and those that can't let go.

Crabtree is infatuated by a tarot card reader. He believes all this spiritual stuff. Murdoch does not believe in card readers at least that is what he says. I find that this series uses contents of the Bible to prove a point which is in error. The tarot card reader says something like well God talked to Moses in the burning bush he could speak through card. Murdoch refutes this but then when she says things that he is going through he is like a man on a tight rope leaning this way and that. I was involved in the occult for years and card readers and fortune tellers comment general things that may be right but they are not getting their info from God even if it is correct. If some things in a reading are correct it not from God. It is how the evil spirits get people to believe.

Anyway the ending explanation of how the murders were committed are bizarre. The only real thing about this episode is a cute little monkey that keeps handling a cigar.

This is another fantasy land ending.
