The security code for the diamond case at the beginning of the episode is part of the serial number for the bomb at the end of Skytanic (2010).
After Malory kills the three cleaning ladies, she says, "How's that for bread and roses?" "Bread and roses" was a political slogan closely associated with a strike held in 1912 by immigrant textile workers. It was then used in a poem called "Bread and Roses" then made into a song of the same name. The phrase was a demand for a living wage and improved working conditions, which is what the three cleaning ladies sought before Malory callously dispatched them.
When the ISIS employees are discussing unionizing in the lab, one wall of storage bins prominently features the following contents: (top) AIR TOOLS, S.A.E. When Cyril punches Pam in the stomach, she pukes up a key. This could be reference to Harry Houdini, who used to swallow keys to escape from traps. Pam regularly mentions Houdini throughout the series.
While on the conference call with San Marino's Captain Regent and Len Trexler, Malory accuses him of getting ISIS blacklisted at the U.N. In Killing Utne (2010), she tries to win the U.N. security contract by wooing Torvald Utne, a member of the U.N. Security Council. Although they are two different characters (and Utne gets murdered), this is a wink to that failure since Utne was voiced by Jeffrey Tambor, who voices Len Trexler in this and future episodes.
