Good start to the finale

Desperate Housewives has done it again. They give us all these great story-lines full of mystery, leaving us with so many questions. Like always, the answers were right in front of us. Of course, Angie Bolen and her family are a big part of it this year but, the other residents of Wisteria Lane and there problems too. This episode was fantastic! Great pacing, great writing, and Felicity Huffman has never been better. I can't wait for the next episodes to see how everything unravels.

This season is like many other seasons, they enter a new resident, create all this mystery about them. This year, it's Angie Bolen (played fantastically by Drea De Matteo), a real Italian woman with a checkered past. As this season grew on, we discovered many things about her and the life she had before coming to Fairview. It seems that this episode is the catalyst for her and her secrets.

The usual housewife whose story stuck out this episode was Lynette Scavo (played to absolute perfection by Felicity Huffman), whose son is set to marry a gold-digging Russian woman.

Not to spoil anything but the ending to this episode is spectacular and you feel happy but at the same time sad. While for craving more...

I like this episode...

Warning: Spoilers
Especially for that scene where Lynette owns the gold digger. And frankly, she was an awful human being, so who cares if Eddie strangled her? This once again, made me disagree with some of the things Mary Alice said, in her closing voiceovers. Bob and Lee never entirely grew on me, but I'm still sad they broke up. The Sam storyline is not one I like either, this season. And it showed writers didn't know what to do to make Bree's drama interesting again. It was clearly a jumping the shark moment for the show. And making him « the bad guy » was too predictable. I know it wasn't exactly in this episode, and even though the Robin/Katherine relationship was too short, to really get into. The actresses nailed the complexity of their characters predicament. And that unexpected coming out, during Karen's party, was hysterical. John Barrowman was another great addition this season, that was clearly the one of departures for the show. After Katherine and Robin left for Paris. Lee left Bob, this episode, because Gabby made a promise she couldn't keep. Which kind of made her again, not my favorite person this season... Susan trying to build up her men's confidence, is a disaster. And in « We All Deserve to Die » she really outdone herself. Which had the episode end with Mike asking Carlos for a loan. I don't really care for the next one regarding Eddie's backstory, it's too sappy for me. But this second half of season, is worth it.
