For the music of the films of 2014, the composers brought in classic voices, new vocal sounds and vibes and even an actress or two to bring their songs to life. Usually we limit our list to the 5 Best Female Singers but this year we had to expand to 10 in order to highlight their fabulous performances.
10. Shraddha Kapoor
For the first time an actress makes it to our Best Female Singers countdown. Shraddha not only shined in two completely different roles in Ek Villain and Haider, the young actress also showed off her lovely voice with two completely different tunes. With ‘Galliyan’ from Ek Villain, she impressed with her melodious tones. In ‘Do Jahaan’ from Haider she sang a Kashmiri folk song, about which director and composer Vishal Bhardwaj said, “After listening to the song they (Kashmiris) would want to keep you with themselves.” Perhaps one day in the future she...

Shiamak is known as the Guru of Dance, and has choreographed some of the best dance pieces for stage and screen. To celebrate the choreographer’s birthday, we thought we would shine the light on his work in films! He truly has an eye for creating incredible creativity with his choreography on screen and we know you will enjoy watching every one.
‘Dhoom Again’ – Dhoom 2
The huge success of Dhoom 2 helped to solidify Hrithik Roshan’s career and no doubt his remarkable dance performance in the opening song ‘Dhoom Again’ showed him at his finest. Shiamak was of course responsible for the jaw-dropping choreography that can be seen throughout the song. It’s bold, edgy and something which we have never really seen in Bollywood before. Kudos to Shiamak on giving the song a big ‘dhoom!’

Hyderabad, Nov 15: Actor Darsheel Safary, who made his cinematic debut with superstar Aamir Khan's "Taare Zameen Par", is certain that the latter's forthcoming movie "Dhoom 3" will be great.
"'Dhoom 3' will be awesome. He (Aamir) will play a villain for the first time. That's exciting. He looks good in the film," said Darsheel.
He believes he has become "less mischievous and more serious". The teenager has also acted in "Midnight's Children", "Zokkomon" and "Bumm Bumm Bole".
"I am still in touch with him. We speak on our birthdays. Even before boards he had called me up and said, 'Study hard and forget about.

We've been eagerly watching as Disney made it's first foray into film production in South Asia, and now the fruits of those labors are available on Us DVD. Of the three films produced by Disney over the last couple of years, two really caught our attention, Once Upon a Warrior and the kids superhero film, Zokkomon. First up for me is Once Upon A Warrior (Anaganaga O Dheerudu), a Telugu fantasy feature that looked really spectacular from the trailers but seemed to fizzle a bit at the box office. Regardless of the numbers, I'm still pretty excited to see it, and hope to have a review of the Us disc here very soon. Next up is Zokkomon, the superhero film starring Darsheel Safary and Anupam...

Although Disney Motion Picture Studios is best known, of course, for its animated movies, the company has always sought to expand its creative interests. Recently, Disney has slowly been making its way into the Indian film industry by producing several unique projects making one Telugu and two Hindi films. The Telugu film Once Upon a Warrior (Anaganaga O Dheerudu) was a special effects-filled fantasy adventure, then there was the very well received Hindi film Do Dooni Chaar, which stars Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, and the other Hindi film Zokkomon (touted as the first Indian child superhero movie). All three were released on DVD this week in the Us and Canada and for the first time ever Indian films, (Zokkomon and the other two aforementioned Disney World cinema films) were also released on several platforms including iTunes, Amazon and pay per view channels on the same day as their DVD release.

Over his incredible career, Anupam Kher has been in over 400 films and 100 plays. He is one of the most highly thought of actors in the industry, and has created some of the most indelible characters of Hindi cinema, ranging from dramatic roles to comedy and everything in between. The actor has given wonderful characters not only in Bollywood, but also in Hollywood, the UK and Canada. For the Disney produced film Zokkomon, Mr. Kher took on not just one role but two, playing both the good Scientist and the bad Uncle. Zokkomon is a mix of a classic Indian tale, a children’s movie, a superhero flick, good triumphing over evil, and so much more! Directed by Satyajit Bhatkal and co-starring Darsheel Safary and the wonderful Manjari Phadnis, the film was released in April and now is making its way to DVD on July 26th. Bollywood’s perfectionist Aamir Khan is known to take digs at his other B-Town colleagues, especially Shahrukh Khan, with whom he shares a blow hot-blow cold relationship since years. After the spat over Aamir’s pet dog being named after Srk, the latest addition to the rivalry is Aamir Khan’s comments that target Sharukh Khan and his film Ra.One. Aamir, who was recently seen promoting protégé Darsheel Safary’s upcoming flick ‘Zokkomon’, went on record to say that being a superhero is not his ball game as it means to go a step ahead, which unlike ‘others’, he can’t.
