After Googling around the interwebs a bit, curiously researching what other critics thought about Old 37, I found out that my opinion appears to be in the minority. A lot of fans dug this homely slasher-abduction hybrid, getting lost in the legendary teaming of Kane Hodder and Bill Moseley. Hell, that’s what drew me in like a moth to a searing flame – but I got burned, unfortunately. There’s gore, and death, and evil paramedics, but a lazy story rarely remains coherent, and characters struggle to be more than crude outlines. Welcome to Horror 101, where kills rule all, and other cinematic facets are cobbled together with rusty spare parts. That bastard Alan Smithee strikes again!

Tagline: "Don't worry. He's a paramedic." A trailer for the slasher film Old 37 has been released. The film stars Kane Hodder and Bill Moseley. Together, they play two brothers who haunt dark highways, in search of unwary female victims. The film has recently won several awards, including "Best Film" and "Best Kill," at Montreal's Horrorfest. The film's trailer is hosted below and indie horror fans are encouraged to take a look. The clip shows a roaming ambulance and an investigating detective. The detective is exploring a series of disappearances. But, two scrapyard workers know nothing. However, they are working together to seek revenge on careless teen drivers. Their revenge involves ripped and torn flesh. It is strange to see the name Alan Smithee as director. The name Adam Smithee is often used, by directors, when they want to separate themselves from a film. There is an unreliable source or...

On the set of the Kane Hodder/Bill Moseley-starrer Old 37, we got a chance to chat with Olivia Alexander, who plays a mean girl in that movie and a bad-ass one in the new comedy. “It’s called 30 Nights Of Paranormal Activity With The Devil Inside The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo—longest title ever,” says Alexander, who plays the eponymous Girl for writer/director Craig Moss in the film, released by Fox Home Entertainment. “I play a 16-year-old girl who is absolutely having an identity crisis, and she’s in love with her neighbor, who happens to be Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter. He’s trying to emancipate my pants, essentially, and the film kind of goes from there. We poked fun at just about everything we possibly could.”

From the Press Release
Big Picture Media has begun pre-production for Old 37, a psychological slasher about two brothers posing as paramedics, who intercept 911 calls in a retired old ambulance. Fast-paced and blood-soaked, Old 37 taps into the most basic human fear: vulnerability. The words "don't worry,...

There's not much information available for Old 37 yet, but what I've seen so far looks very intriguing. We know Kane Hodder will bring his wealth of horror experience to play one of the film's killers, and Brandi Cyrus (that's Miley's big sis) will also appear in the film.
To sum up what we currently know about the story, the film is about a couple of derelict psycho brothers who spend their time eavesdropping on emergency calls and responding in their father's retired ambulance (which I can only assume is #37) to dole out their own kind of down-home, backwoods medicine. I think we can safely surmise that bad things and the red, red kroovy follow soon after.
The official Old 37 website, which is very eerie in its own right, features some additional information and cool storyboards to give you a feel for the film. Up to the minute...
