Cmon this is the oldest cheat in TV...

Warning: Spoilers
At the risk of annoying some IMDb users who love this series as much as I do, I need to put this review in the database simply to warn future viewers that, if they skip this episode, they will not enjoy the remaining segments any less whereas; conversely, if they watch this episode, their overall appreciation of the series may in fact decline. For the record, I have already entered a glowing review of the series and of a particular episode (MOOOO) that I loved. This is, and will remain, one of my all-time favourite series, watched end-to-end on a number of occasions. That said, the gimmick of doing an entire episode of a TV show conveniently composed of flashbacks and segments from earlier episode is nothing more and nothing less than a cheat. Appearing, as it does, near the end of the series, you have to wonder who is kidding whom and where the money they saved on this episode ultimately went? I am not saying that Nancy Miller and her team are unique violators in this regard; by coincidence, one of the final episodes of TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL did the same thing, based on an story "judging" the character of "Monica" and then jumped into the flashbacks like it was Christmas morning and presents were waiting. Making an interesting episode from old episodes is like making a gourmet meal from leftovers. And tastes about the same.

An episode of scenes from previous episodes does not a quality episode make

That's just cheating. And not enjoyable.

Was there a writer's strike?

Budget cuts?

Disappointed

Warning: Spoilers
This was a very boring episode. It kind of recapped many other episodes. The description says that Grace is facing judgement for her life's deeds. So it's a courtroom drama with a prosecutor trying to tear Grace down, while Earl, her angel, is her defending attorney who tries to build her up and display her deeds as positives. I kept waiting for something exciting or even interesting to happen. It never did. Did the writer run out of ideas and this was just a placeholder. I was very disappointed because I look forward to these episodes. Normally they don't disappoint. But this episode was a complete waste of my time.
