This is a very remarkably frank docufiction, dramatising what must in fact have been a relatively common postwar problem. Extremely well scripted by an otherwise unknown John Rowden, well acted and deftly directed by Jack Holmes, one of the Crown Unit team whose work deserves to be better known than it is.
