a forgotten postwar problem
kekseksa22 August 2017
This is a very remarkably frank docufiction, dramatising what must in fact have been a relatively common postwar problem. When Joan, pregnant, discovers she has syphilis, she assumes it is her husband that has given it to her, having been with other women while in the army. He on the other hand believes she has been with other men while he was away.....

Extremely well scripted by an otherwise unknown John Rowden, well acted and deftly directed by Jack Holmes, one of the Crown Unit team whose work deserves to be better known than it is.
