Stumbled upon this gem on Youtube
Rox7329 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Here's a plot that has been covered a few times over the years - Stockholm syndrome. As creepy as the guy is (he really did his homework in stalking her before kidnapping her), I eventually found myself rooting for him over the course of the movie. And at the same time, right now, right after I finished watching it, I feel ashamed of myself for falling into the all too obvious trap. I don't know what to make of it.... maybe I should see a therapist. But the point is that this low budget movie, these first time actors and first time director (if I understand correctly) kept me glued to the screen the whole time. And I get easily bored with movies if they don't hold my interest, especially in the beginning.

Great job! p.s. I friggin' hated 50 Shades of Grey.

"Fifty shades of Grey"... move aside!
superherosquebecois19 April 2013
I was searching for trailers on the web for the "Fifty shades of Grey" book series and I landed on a trailer for the indie flick "Twisted Seduction".

It got my interest within the first few seconds of the trailer because it dealt with the same general subject matter / erotic thriller / submissive-dominant tone.

So I Googled it to find out where I could watch the film and found it in a free streaming form, on the official movie site.

I started with low expectations, since there was a message from the director at the beginning, stating that they made the film with $30K of their own money.

The first 15 minutes were a bit slow and creepy, but I quickly started to be deeply invested in the characters. I was soon loving every minute of it. The director was a master at building a deep connection between the characters and the audience.

Towards the end, the movie had already exceeded my expectations and delivered fully, but it came back with a double twist and left me completely surprised. It is THE best independent movie I've seen my entire life. The ending is simply UNGUESSABLE. TWO THUMS UP!

Poorly Written Nonsense
mandarin116-119 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I read in the trivia section that the script was written in 2 days, which becomes deathlessly obvious in the first 15 minutes. Of the two leads only one, the female, shows any ability and emotional range. The actor playing David is dire - he delivers his lines in a wooden Manchunian monotone, making his co-star work extra hard to lift the film above the level of film-school graduation piece.

The idea for the film is fairly standard misogynist fare - independent career woman is kidnapped by an apparent genius-level psychopath, who (gasp) knows just what's best for the liddle lady, keeping her captive in an attempt to make her fall in love with him. This means engaging in a series of painstakingly awkward "dates" designed to challenge her preconception of what she expects in a partner and result in true L-O-V-E. As these dates seem to mainly involve forcing his captive into excruciating dinners followed by fully- clothed shared baths and throwing popcorn at each other, in between tying her to a chair, one rather wonders what sort of eye-swivelling, sticky-palmed loons the poor woman was used too.

Before we know it, our heroine (in a desperate attempt to push the plot to any sort of conclusion me-thinks) has submitted to her captor in a spot of rapey foreplay and, in a twist that I can't quite remember as I was losing the power of sight and hearing by then, declares undying love for Mr Monotone. One extra ridiculo-twist completes 1 hour 20 minutes of utter nonsense. I've only given it 3 stars as the female lead was good and had nice eyebrows.

Twisted Seduction is a gem of an indie film.

I actually just finished watching it. on Snag Films.

I started off just clicking random points through the movie, but soon found myself watching the entire move start to finish. I thought the story was fantastic. It was believable, interesting and well acted. The two actors extremely believable. While I was rooting for David through the entire movie, it's a movie that I could see being in theaters with the majority of the population rooting for Francesca. Congratulations on making a top quality movie. I would pay money to see this in the theaters.

I think you've proved that it doesn't take a million dollar Hollywood budget to make a masterpiece. I found it riveting. You've hit the core of this dynamic better than anything I've ever seen. The psychological aspects kept the suspense going through the entire film and the ending was a great twist…

The ending made me want to see a sequel!!

Twisted Seduction
a_baron29 May 2015
A Harvard graduate who is nothing short of a genius decides the best way to impress the woman of his dreams is to kidnap her. That's what he learned from an Ivy League education? Apparently. However, the lady concerned is having none of it. She would have been justified in killing him, but after striking him with that golf club once, foolishly made for the door. Had she landed a few more blows she could have incapacitated him and tied him up. There are many missed opportunities like this, but the plot is even more implausible than it is silly, and the two twists at the end, well, the first is even less credible.

Granted this was made on a low budget, but as psychological dramas go, it is not. Still, at least there was no rape scene, although by the time he does get her into bed, most juries would agree that some sort of Stockholm syndrome was afoot, convict him of that as well as kidnapping, and throw away the key.

Two thumbs up for Twisted Seduction!
groupgirl414 August 2010
I saw Twisted Seduction at the Fantasial film festival in Montreal and absolutely LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT! I did not know what to expect from it, I thought it was going to be a scary movie but it turned out to be somewhat romantic. I went to see it with my girlfriends and we totally got into it. It started a bit slow, but then it got SO GOOD. The acting was strong, the dialogues very intelligent and realistic. The director did a good job to make the story believable. It was his first film. He was there with the actor and answered few questions after the film It was his first film. I can't wait to see more of his films.

The ending was totally unexpected! One word to describe this film... ENTERTAINING!

Good situation movie
elo-krueger6 September 2010
When I saw this movie at the Fantasia Festival during summer I didn't really excepted a horror movie with gore like you can see at this festival. What really attracted me toward this film is what I like to call a "situation movie". In most of them there's a few character (2-4) in the whole movie, the story happen in almost a single place and mostly there's a character development/evolution through the whole movie. Which is the case in Twisted Seduction.

One of the strength of this movie is in my opinion a well written story, the dialogues between the two characters were really good, funny, disturbing and somewhat cute in some part. It's a bit complicated to put this movie in a genre so to speak but don't let that stop you from watching it if you have the chance.

Twisted is Right!

Warning: Spoilers
Congratulations to Dominique. Excellent writing and direction. Very believable. Judging by the comments on Youtube, this movie apparently strikes up some mixed feelings about the premise. Caroline Brassard plays a very convincing role as a kidnapped, fiercely independent that is probably too independent for her own good. Love the way this story unravels!

an awesome movie

"This movie gave hopes to me and my friend ,who has a dream to make short film and movies on our own."

Its basically a story ,I can can say short story about a genius British guy,who is a strong believer of science. He is socially introvert and a little uptight .After being a failure in finding a perfect match for him in so called traditional method of dating ,he decide to do its in way of science .He took the data of all suitable women in that area and put a algorithm to search and narrow a match down for him.And he find one .Now kidnaps a woman and convinced that by following certain psychological steps and well planned charm, her brain will have no choice but to trigger feelings of love towards him. Well lets see if science can calculate love.
