The Half-Sister
claudio_carvalho22 January 2024
Torres meets Cal and Gillian and shows a distress call from her half-sister, who is inmate of a juvenile detention institution, the Covington Youth Center. Cal and Gillian learn that Torres has a younger half-sister named Ava that is a delinquent and liar. They meet Warden Lamb and Dr. Dave Burns and they say that Ava is isolated in a cell. However, Cal and Torres force Lamb and interview Ava. The facility is surrounded by the police, since Ava's best friend Marley was found pregnant and dead. Now, Cal and Dr. Foster investigate who might have killed Marley and why.

"Delinquent" is an entertaining episode of "Lie to Me", where the viewers are presented to Torres' half-sister. There are estranged to and do no believe to each other. The orthodox methods of Cal Lightman, accusing everybody to study their reactions, is weird, and his character is very odd. Bringing all the delinquents from Covington to embarrass Warden Lamb is unbelievable and unrealistic. The conclusion is corny. My vote is eight.

Little guess work Warning: Spoilers
It felt too easy to pin point the person behind the killings. The acting from Torres was really cringe, not believable. Just thought the storyline was underdeveloped, the acting was horrible in general this episode. For example, the scene where everyone are confronting the head director of the Juvenile detention hall, was sooooo bad. They go from where you could barely get one of them to talk to all unitedly against the woman they were robbing for???? It just felt to corny and cliche that scene. And how could a psychiatrist/DEA not figure out what was going on....knowing how many were involved? That makes no sense. I don't know if I can keep overlooking this show's faults and keep watching anymore.
