The fantastic Kelly Macdonald. Not exactly a revelation, Macdonald was well established by this point. She radiates on the screen and truly carries this episode. Probably the best episode of the series thus far, the pilot had issues with structure imo, this episode is put together wonderfully. A lot of good plot development, some great interaction between characters, again, solid episode. Also, some great music throughout the entire episode.

For my love to find

This was my first crush with Boardwalk Empire. Sure, the previous episodes are hooking, but this definitely was the episode that I think "I'm going to love this". And I did it, in fact.
This is not like the previous episodes, with the war between the gangsters, this is a fight between the personalities of the characters and I love that.
We had a Jimmy taking care of Pearl, he seems so cute with her in a way we hadn't see with Angela. Michael and Emily had an amazing chemistry and their scenes are worth watching. The end for Pearl was quite sad, but I love when Jimmy goes to Chinatown to smoke in her memory.
I like the way Nucky's teaching how to play in the big leagues to Eli, but I feel sad for him because he's always going to live in his shadow.
Margaret isn't my favorite character, but I liked her in this episode and she playing with Nucky.
Alongside that, I really enjoy the small appearances of Arnold and Nelson.
+ The fight between Margaret and Nucky.
+ The beginning of Margaret-Nucky's story.
+ The Celtic dinner.
+ Jimmy and Pearl.
+ The "Night in Ballygran" sequence.
9.2/10

- I don't like Gillian, at all.
