Betsey Brown explained in the Kickstarter write-up: "This is NOT a film about the trans experience. This is about white cis male fragility, and the lengths some will go to keep their seat at the table."
Feature directorial debut for Betsey Brown.
While in development Petra Vack was the working title for the film.
The film was pulled from The Music Box in Chicago in 2022 after a trans director tweeted that it "reeks of violence" because it features a male character who pretends to be trans to find work.
Peter Vack is Betsey Brown's brother. He directed her previously in Assholes (2017) where he convinced her to perform fully nude and in graphic sex scenes.
