N Balakrishna’s upcoming with director Ks Ravikumar went on to the floors without a title some months ago. Finally, it was announced that the film has been titled Jai Simha and it would be out as a Sankranti release next year.
On this film’s progress, we hear that the team had completed the current schedule of the shooting just recently at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, where a huge action sequence was canned, on the sets erected for the purpose.

No one in India makes crazier, more violent movies than Tollywood director Boyapati Sreenu. He burst onto the scene in 2010 with the ultraviolent multigenerational masala film Simha starring Balakrishna that features what is inarguably the greatest onscreen decapitation of all time. In the years since then Srinu has struggled to reach the same apex of bloody madness, but has fallen short. With his new film Sarrainodu he's giving it another shot, and color me excited after seeing the full trailer. The film features Stylish Star Allu Arjun, known as Bunny to his fans, as a total badass who makes many people bleed. Even though his nicknames are cutesy, Allu Arjun has a history of kicking ass in Tollywood films. He's kicked medieval ass in...

Chennai, March 11: Come March 28, two star-studded Telugu films "Rowdy" and "Legend", by Ram Gopal Varma and Boyapati Srinu respectively, are slated to lock horns at the box office, making it the biggest clash of summer 2014.
"Our film will be an Ugadi treat for the audience. It is coming out March 28 as planned earlier. There will no changes in that. It's a huge responsibility to make a film with Balakrishna sir. I think we have lived up to the expectations of his fans," film's producer Anil Sunkara told Ians.
This is the second time that Balakrishna has teamed up with Srinu after the blockbuster "Simha". The film also features.

I've been waiting for this moment for three years.Back in 2010, when Twitch was in the middle of series of especially violent and creative movie kills, I threw down the gauntlet with an amazing flying-upside-down beheading from Tollywood box office smash, Simha. The film was the first collaboration between director Boyapati Sreenu and aging Tollywood hero icon, Nandamuri Balakrishna, and it blew my mind. In the three years in between both men have made features, but none have quite reached the delirious apex of manliness and unchained violence of Simha. Fans of Balakrishna and Sreenu have been waiting for the moment when the two would rejoin forces and deliver its worthy successor. That day is finally within sight.Behold, the trailer for Boyapati Sreenu's Legend, a...

Well-loved Tollywood film hero, Nandamuri Balakrishna, or Balayya to his most ardent fans, is ready to star in another bone crushing action film. Adhinayakudu brings Balakrishna back to the patriotic action genre that is extremely popular in Andhra Pradesh these days after his successful turn as Lord Rama in devotional film Sri Rama Rajyam.Balakrishna's career over the last year or so has been something of a roller coaster. He went from one of the most popular films of 2010, and a personal favorite, Simha, to a similarly themed film titled Parama Chakra Veera that completely tanked at the box office. Following that disaster, he starred in Sri Rama Rajyam which ended up being a modest success, as devotional films still have a pretty decent following...

Yet another Telugu film about which I know next to nothing. However, I do know that this 37 second teaser features a shit ton of wicked killing implements.Nandiswarudu stars Nandamuri Tarakaratna (Ntr) as some sort of badass, presumably the one with the wicked mustachio. The film was initially slated to star Nandamuri Balakrishna, the star of the insanely violent and ridiculously awesome Simha, but for some reason, it wasn't to be. This trailer certainly has shades of Simha and many of the other similar Telugu action films of the last couple of years. The telltale signs include dozens of crazy close-ups with wide angles lenses and gnarly looking swords of antiquity.I looked for a longer trailer, as this one has whetted my appetite, but alas,...

I have only just barely just begun to introduce you heathens to the force of nature that is Tollywood film star Balakrishna. Some of you may recall a Twitch Top Kill from last week from the film Simha, starring Balayya. That was only a small sampling of what this man is capable of. For example, Balakrishna once stopped an airplane with a handgun in a movie . True story.
He is known for playing ridiculously upright characters who do really nasty things to bad guys in the most severe of ways, often resulting in absurdly painful deaths. His new film, Parama Veera Chakra, doesn't appear to stray too far from the formula. As is typical with Indian films, there isn't much in the way of information about the plot, but I know it deals with patriotism, whatever that means. You can bet that it at least means a lot of ass-kicking.

We haven't had an Indian film kill since the very first installment of Twitch Top Kills. I am here to resolve that. This one is a doozy, too.
Simha is one of Tollywood's top grossing films of 2010, and it is pure mayhem from one end to the other. I don't think I've seen this much killing in a film in a long while, certainly not one with this many intricately choreographed song and dance numbers. The story is far too complex to attempt a synopsis, but in the interest of setting up this clip, I'll give a brief rundown:
Simha (Nandamuri Balakrishna) is a badass. He's the local miracle working surgeon/vigilante hell-bent on creating order in his town. In the interest of justice, he brutally murders criminals of all stripes in public, usually with a large cheering crowd of well-wishers. In this scene, he has just telepathically discovered that...

Sneha Ullal has denied that Click, which has failed to click with the audience, is her comeback movie in Bollywood. “Click is not my comeback in Bollywood because the film doesn’t revolve around me,” she says, “I need a film like Lucky to make a comeback; then I can show what I can do.”
After her film Lucky with Salman Khan, Sneha feels she wasn’t advised properly by people in Bollywood so she returned to the South where over the last five years she has become a star. “I am doing a film with Ashok Tyagi where Akshay Kapoor is my co-star and there is another film with Shubir Mukherjee,” she explains, “The film is being launched by Joy Mukherjee’s son Sujoy. One of them is a thriller, the other is a love story and both are expected to release later this year.”

Click is gearing itself up to be the must-see horror movie of the month with it’s intriguing cast of Shreyas Talpade, Sneha Ullal, making her return to Bollywood, and southern hottie Sadaa Sayed making her Bollywood debut. "I play a fashion model that is photographed by Shreyas. I have a pretty glamorous avatar in the first half of the romantic horror," she says.
Together with co-star Sneha Ullal, Sada recently attended a horror party with wax statues of vampires, ghosts and witches thrown by Satish and Tanaz Reddy’s horror entertainment zone. It didn’t faze Sneha as much as making the movie did, however. “I was not scared exactly but sometimes the shoot used to remain in my mind and because of that I couldn’t sleep,” she explains, “And while shooting in the night, it was so chilly that we just couldn’t bear the cold so...
