I really wanted to like it, the trailer looked promising. The production value is great, but that it where anything positive that could be said about this movie stops. The story is not just predictable, it has been told way too many times. The jokes don't hit, mostly because the actors can't deliver them. The roles are all complete linear and typical. There is practically no depth to the movie or the rolls. Sorry, but I have to give this the worst rating I have ever given a movie.

Youtuber makes movie
gerald-4626628 December 2021
This low-budget "movie" is another example where you can see that Youtubers are no actors. Sadly, you can see this fact in almost every scene of this movie. It is a waste of time. You expect a much higher quality when a movie goes cinema and you have to pay for it.
Horrible
fuccmeimfamous11 January 2022
Horrible typical german teen story. Horrible acting. The visuals are great, no question about it, everybody can see that this is a big budget production, but money can't buy everything. It's possibly the worst movie I saw in all of 2021. The worst part is, this is my generation, but the movie has no interesting topics, struggles, no deep connections with anybody's wants or needs. It's just not well written and sadly just horribly delivered.
Nothing Good

stop with the cliches

Completely cliche, poorly written, badly acted out and not well directed at all. Everything falls pretty flat. The dialogues, jokes and story all go nowhere. There is really nothing good about this at all.
Fact of the matter is, I have actually seen some of these self-proclaimed actors give the audience a solid performance. Especially Jonas Ems and Kayla Shyx sometimes have moments where they surprise you with their acting and seem believable. Sadly this happens way too little and only for short instances.
I hope to at some point see some of them in a real production that they come up with themselves.

Better than the Show

I have seen the movie twice already, once at the premiere and the second time fairly recent at home.
The production value is 100% improvment over the webseries and you can clearly see that a writer and skilled director knew what they were doing.
The story is not the most complicated I have seen but it still works and is an adjustment from what the webseries usually delivers.
The movie feels round and looks great so it is a watch recommendation despite what other reviews say.
I definitely didn't waste my time and applaud the effort to lift up the concept and make something I wouldn't watch watchable.
There is no need for a sequel but I would love to see more from the writers, director and actors in their individual projects.

2 stars because of that one time it made me laugh

Save your time and don't even think about watching it. The plot is meaningless and acting is mostly terrible. This movie just makes you grab your head and hardly rethink what the cinema even is and what gets to the big screen and what doesn't.
a little trip back to my own school days

The team around "Krass Klassenfahrt" is taking a big step forward here onto the big cinema screen. This was much better than expected before and it remains exciting to see what comes next.
The Online-series is a little bit silly... But they create a bigger adventure which makes me want to travel again. The fact that the creators of the series got professional help is very noticeable. Despite all the help, the series creators' own handwriting remains noticeable and they didn't allow themselves to be bent too much - so its definitly not a typical german movie. This film is a far from the horrific influencer films of the past in Germany. Many funny scenes and situations bring back very vivid memories of your own old school days.
Respect for this achievement and all the best for Jonas and his friends on his further way.

At least the production quality is good

Cons: super linear characters, bad and predictable character development, boring story line and basic storytelling, very slow paced, forced comedy, mostly bad acting.
Pros: professional production, mostly good dop and decent music as long as the characters in the movie weren't trying to rap or such.

A solid improvement compared to the web-series

I am certain everybody who is a fan of the web-series will like the movie, but more importantly, you can enjoy it even if you don't know the web-series.
The production value is great, it has a well written story, a great soundtrack, enough funny moments and no pacing issues.
Granted you will not get a revolutionary super deep story with new insights that will change your view on the human condition, but come on, what are your expectations when you go into a light-hearted comedy movie?
That's why I am puzzled when I read all the negative and salty reviews.
If you don't take yourself too serious when you go into the movie, you will have a great time!

Your next movie night.

A very light-feel film with a deep existential meaning.
I've only briefly seen what the series is about and can say that the film is on a completely different level. Don't know why people automatically think it shouldn't be good just cuz they didn't like the series...
Quite funny, lightens up the mood with simplicity and charm. But at the same time covers important exsistentialistic dillemas of growing up, finding yourself etc. I liked how the film combines those light and dark sides. It leaves you thinking...
I've seen it in the cinema and once with firends via Amazon Prime. It's certainly worth the watch!
