Ben and Cam come to the conclusion they must go ahead for their jeans project. They know they have the right design. The only trouble is to get the money to get a pattern and sample made. Between Ben and Cam they have little money to show, so one solution would be to ask Ben's father for the cash. Cam decides to sell some of those Wilfredo's skate boards to fans of the sport.
Rachel in the meanwhile, not happy as the designer in Edie Weitz firm, is thinking of going in a different direction. Meeting an old friend that is now involved in a sort of charity in Africa gives her an inspiration in how to go about it. Edie Weitz seems to have it all under control, but she needs Rachel's help in her business.
Rene has been working hard pushing the Rasta Monsta beverage to bodega owners. He is met with skepticism from the people that run the stores. As he visits a client, a small kid comes to buy a beverage. Rene watches how the refrigerator shelves don't show any Rasta Monsta, so he decides to offer one to the kid for free. The boy's reaction is good, so he realizes he has a good product.
Ben and Cam go to see Zev, the owner of a 7th avenue company. Ben had warned his partner not to be late, the previous night, but Cam shows up late, anyway. Fortunately, Ben had set up the appointment for later, knowing his partner will be late. Zev agrees these guys have potential and agrees to do the cutting and the sample for $1,500, something that neither partner has.
Cam suggests Ben goes to his father for help. In the meantime, he decides to direct his selling pitch to young prep school boys coming out of an exclusive place on the East Side. The boys targeted are sharp, as befitting the sons of the Manhattan elite. Ben goes home, but his father is away in a book store. Ben is not sure how he will be able to tell his old man about the money he needs.
Rene asks his friends among the Dominican social club for a meeting where he pitches the idea of distributing the Rasta Monsta to their customers. He gets a positive reaction and bargains with the people in giving them back a percentage of the sales, which makes everyone happy. At the end, Ben gets the loan for the jeans project as Cam also brings the same amount from the sale of the skate boards.
A good episode of this surprisingly good series about young New Yorkers trying to succeed with their dreams in a hostile business climate. Ian Edelman, the creator, shows he has a tremendous talent. His best asset is that he knows the people he writes about. After all, these are street smart people that speak the language one hears in this type of setting.

Victor Rasuk and Bryan Greenberg compliment one another as the aspiring entrepreneurs, Cam and Ben. Lake Bell is Rachel, while Martha Plimpton appears as her boss Edie.
