The story is partly inspired by Tamil movie Basha (which itself was inspired by Hindi movie Hum. Set in Feud boiled Rayalaseema, the story initially revolves around a long lost brother (Balakrishna) who returns to help his three sisters who are under the wicked torments of their step-mother who runs a small restaurant. However things go awry when it's revealed that the brother is infact Samarasimha Reddy who is a faction leader and has a huge foot hold among the masses due to his altruism, but goes into recluse due to a blood bath with his rival antagonist. How both again re-engage the feud battle forms the crux of the story. With powerful dialogues and high octane acting, the movie has become a cult.
