Dashamoolam Damu played by Suraj venjaramoodu is today a cult character in social media. His dialogues and facial expressions are frequently used in memes and trolls. 2007-11 was the time when Suraj was in his prime as a comedian in Malayalam cinema. Hardly there was a malayalam film at that time where there was no suraj. But when malayalam cinema evolved suraj experimented with his roles and after grabbing a national award he today emerged as one of the finest actors in Malayalam cinema. Looking back at chattambinaadu u see how impeccable he was as damu. Recently he enacted this character for a comedy program but couldn't bring that vintage damu. Now when chattambinaadu comes I watch it only for damu comedy
