One of my favorite House MD episodes.

Warning: Spoilers
The medical case conclusion, needs suspension of disbelief. But the comedy and drama are spot on. Wilson and House fighting over their hot neighbor (who doesn't like Sasha Alexandre?) was hysterical. And that last montage were highlights of the episode. The joke the staff tried to pull on Foreman was nice, and the way they get theirs in the end, was very funny too. It's everything you would expect of a good TV show episode. Entertaining throughout.

Full marks just for the final montage

Warning: Spoilers
Whoever played that Lethal Weapon of a guitar over that final montage where the villains are taken down while the patient dies, sound like the love child of Eric Clapton and Gary Moore. Only 90 seconds or so but it will always make my day.

Reminds me of that time when I re-watched the actual Lethal Weapon for the umpteenth time, after having educated myself all through my twenties on classic rock appreciation, and suddenly it's like scales falling from my ears and hearing that that soundtrack sounded exactly like Eric Clapton, and looking it up and it actually *was,* of which I had had no idea before.

Chase cut his hair!

Warning: Spoilers
and that's the most interesting thing about this episode I'm afraid, that and the hilarious impersonation of 24's Jack Bauer by House, you will know once you see it, this is one of those "House moments" that we all know so well. Back to the story, the medical mystery in this episode was a bit confusing and didn't stick out enough to engage my attention, also the paycheck trick pulled on Foreman wasn't convincing enough. Oh, I would almost forgot about one more treat – friendly neighbor Nora in Wilson's new apartment building played by Sasha Alexander – I tell you, this girl is so hot that it's a miracle that the fire sprinkles won't go off, a few nice House – Wilson moments on her account. Altogether rather disenchanting episode for me, Cameron is gone, the Team spirit is disrupted from my perspective, Cuddy didn't even left her office to at least check on House, feels like distorted puzzle but the puzzles pieces are in the wrong spots and some of them are missing, hope that in next episode somebody will put all those pieces back together in good old manner that we are all use to.

Tough to get through when you're the real expert

All the radiology they do practically every episode and they run an ABR to Dx an acoustic neuroma? OK, yes, an auditory electrophysiologist knows that the gold standard for diagnosing a tumor on the VIII (auditory) nerve is an MRI; ABR can give a false positive. Oh, what is an ABR? An Auditory Brainstem Response, or the electrical response to transient (click) sounds obtained by placing electrodes at the ears as you saw in the episode.

Just sayin'

Where are the writers?
gsic_batou13 January 2010
A movie can stand on many things beyond writing and they usually have a bigger scope and a more ample world, but on the confines of a hospital a TV show requires extremely good writing. That's what makes good television and that's what made house great for 3 seasons.

With the team change on season 4 it seems the ability to blend character development with the medical cases was reduced, but there were still very strong episodes.

Now, with the nice version of house and uncharacteristic cases that really don't stand out, this show is beginning to display serious writing problems. There is still some wit, but mostly in the dynamic duo of House\Wilson; every other dynamic is just moving about, completely without north or proper placement.

This episode makes a strong case towards the above and it really is a shame, because what was once one of the best shows on television is looking old and unoriginal. It seems to be carrying to much baggage and being dragged down by it.

Hire better writers or put it to sleep.

House Returns

Im a pretty big fan of house and coming from someone who knows house as good as Wilson , i can honestly say this episode wasn't as great as the rest of the season , it had its laughs , its cry's , its clichés , but it appears to me house is doing what ER did , and that's repeating a lot of the same similar cases and changing the people being treated. House is a hit show because of its acting talent and original story-lines , if that starts to fade then the show could go down the toilet , its doubtful its going to happen , but i have a hunch its only got a season left , maybe 2.

With that being said , i enjoyed the episode and i want to see more of house with the cases and not the whole team , if they wanted to do the show wonders they should cut Peter Jacobson out of the show and replace him with someone else , i really cannot stand the guy , in my own personal opinion his acting and reacting to the other cast is so poor it makes me feel like im sucking on a lemon.

Im glad house is back , but not with the boom i expected...
