This somewhat cryptic review does contain spoilers

Warning: Spoilers
After some magic goes wrong (a transporter accident), Kahlan ends up having sex with two different men in one night. Really!

Kahlan is a passionate woman with a strong desire to have a home and family life, but her total devotion to BOTH duty and Richard makes that impossible. If she were free of her love for Richard, she'd satisfy her duty and desires by finding a husband who wasn't the Seeker. If she wasn't a Confessor, she would stay with Richard as his loving wife. What prevents her from finding fulfillment is that one person can't be everything. Unless, of course, you have some misguided transporter magic to help you. This story is really Kahlan's version of the well-known Star Trek episode, The Enemy Within (Season 1, Episode 5; see http://www.imdb.com/video/cbs/vi3192193049/).

Bridget Regan does a fine job of playing Kahlan in this episode, and is allowed to show more of her acting skills. I've never seen her in any role but Kahlan, but I'm sure she could easily handle harder acting jobs than this series requires of her. I hope that she gets that chance in the future.

Overall, a good episode, with very nice acting by Bridget Regan.

Two Kahlans for the price of one
tenshi_ippikiookami24 September 2016
Kahlan and Zedd leave the rest of the team to go and stop a bad guy that is bringing a reign of terror. But as the bad guy is very far away, they use an amulet to travel. The amulet, however, malfunctions, and Kahlan finds herself split into two: one, the brainy one, with Zedd, with just the sense of justice and duty on one side; and two, the romantic, all heart, feelings and passion Kahlan on the other. Can they find a way to bring the real Kahlan back?

"Turn" is a very interesting episode, that shows that brain and heart are necessary to make a person who they are. Bridget Regan does a great job as Kahlan, and this episode is for her to shine, as she has the chance to play two new characters. Spirited, passionate Kahlan is a very interesting character and Bridget Regan does a good job with her, but she is also really good with duty Kahlan, which nonetheless seems to have more feelings that a "duty, work" personality should have. But that is a minor quibble in a very good episode, that shows a lot of heart and interesting moments.

Review Legend of the seeker "Torn" (contains spoilers)
girl-that12 August 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Legend of the Seeker is a fantastic series. I love the episode "Torn" because it shows there are two sides to everyone, and both sides fight for dominance over the other, as they balance each other out. Both sides are presented beautifully by the gorgeous and talented Bridget Regan. It's hard to dislike either side completely. It's easier to like her emotional side at first, because the logical side is so cold and unfeeling, until the neediness of her love becomes overwhelming. Then it becomes glaringly obvious why we all need both sides of our personalities. All of the episodes are riveting, but this one has some very special moments!
