I had just about given up hope on network television. Patricia Heaton who is better known for her role as the housewife and mother, Debra Barone, on Everybody Loves Raymond is completely different here. Maybe that's why she's such a good actress in the first place. Her character of Frances "Frankie" Heck is a working mother of three unusual kids, teenage son, Axel, awkward 13 year old Sue, and seven year old Brick. Her husband is played by Neil Flynn and they compliment each other beautifully. Finally Frankie might get her chance at singing the solo for Christmas Even mass at their church. For a change, her husband agrees to help with all the Christmas duties on a list. Although in this episode, he forgot something or two on the list but it's still a funny series and hope it lasts longer.
