Numbering among the lesser entries cranked out during the twilight of Soft Porn circa 1970/71, YOUR WIFE OR MINE? is a time-killer strictly for completists.
It's burdened with pompous narration that repetitively tries to raise this filler to the level of significance, supposedly an exposé of the wife-swapping trend of the '60s (a premature form of political correctness has this referred to as "sex swapping" instead).
The promising casting of Cleo O'Hara and Keith Erickson, the comical porn duo who were terrific together in Walt Davis's OH! YOU BEAUTIFUL 'DOLL', goes for nought as they are unusually reserved in their sex simulation here, cast as swinging neighbors.
Premise is that Cleo and her husband (played by an unidentified, untalented performer) are crusaders for the cause of mate-swapping. They recruit several neighbors and film's brief running time consists of routine coupling and an asinine "spin the bottle" orgy. Dialog is strictly throwaway, as is the entire movie.
Along the way Rene Bond and Ric Lutze show up as neighbors, so the switcheroo puts them together for the umpteenth time. It's strictly softcore however. Film approaches the XXX line when muscular Willie, fed up with his prudish wife Cora, gets it on with a pretty blonde neighbor, but when she rides him the closeups reveal it is a dry hump.
Silliest scene has two neighbors, Paul and Sheldon, comparing dick size as they jerk off in an attempt to get hard before Sheldon's better half Vicki (played by Sandra Henderson) comes back in the room for a "surprise". Just one more diversion to confound and confuse the audience which at this point in history was waiting expectantly for some hardcore action. The film is cheaply shot just like any hardcore porn movie, but consciously framed to not show any penetration or money shots.
Film ends stupidly with the missionaries of swing moving away to Minneapolis, leaving their set of converts to proselytize the good sex cause in their wake.
