Stuntman Anton discovers that he is terminally ill and decides to hide it from his family. To make money, while he still can, Anton turns to crime. His daughter Ksenia begins dating bad boy Max. Viktor, Anton's wife's ex, learns about his diagnosis.

Anton finds himself under control of Slava, an eccentric oligarch and owner of an undercover casino frequented by the most influential people of the town. To keep his family safe, Anton is forced to do Slava's bidding. He also has a fight with his business partner Zhenya. Ksenia continues dating Max even though her parents have forbidden it.

Anton is trying to find a way to escape Slava's hold on him. Zhenya is forced to cover for Anton at work. On Slava's orders Anton takes part in torture. Viktor wants to keep seeing Olga and asks her to design his place. Anton wants to take his family away but he is too late: his son Denis is in mortal danger.

Slava makes Anton give driving lessons to his wilful daughter Nika who treats him as her servant. But when Anton saves her life, she begins to fall in love with him. Nika implies to Olga that she and Anton are having an affair. Olga kicks Anton out. Slava's main rival, chief of police Nikolaev, hires a hitman to kill Slava.

Nika draws Anton into her world of parties and tries to seduce him. She encourages him to take part in street-racing. There is an attack on Slava and Nika during the race, which Anton manages to thwart. Zhenya, who also took part in the race, learns Anton's criminal secret. Viktor advises Olga to leave Anton.

Anton hides Slava's trump card: blackmail material on the casino's high-ranking customers. Nikolayev tasks the Hitman with finding it. The Hitman kidnaps Anton and his father. Maks persuades Ksenia to run away with him, planning to rape her. Anton and his father manage to escape from the Hitman.

The disc with the blackmail material is missing, and Slava suspects that Anton is behind this. He is cornered and ready to do anything to get out. Anton sends his family out of town. Then he offers Slava a way out. Slava likes his suggestion.

Anton fakes Slava's death. Slava flees the country. Nika is unaware if this and tries to avenge her father. Anton manages to stop her in the nick of time: what she is about to do could kill her. Olga discovers that Victor knew about Anton's diagnosis and was just using this opportunity. The family learns about Anton's diagnosis. Now he faces a choice: a risky surgery or life under the threat of death at any moment.
