As the weather turns cold and America turns to its TVs on chilly nights, the Hallmark Channel has host of holiday offerings, many of which star Danica McKellar or Candice Cameron Burè. The cabler very nearly has at least one new movie each and every day — and sometimes six.

One of Hallmark Channel‘s go-to actresses has set her sights on a new basic cable home.
Danica McKellar, who has headlined more than a half-dozen “Countdown to Christmas” movies for Hallmark since 2015, is departing the network for a new competitor: Gac Family (fka Great American Country). Per Deadline, the Wonder Years vet has signed an exclusive deal with the cabler to star in and executive-produce four new films, beginning with The Winter Palace (premiering in January 2022).

Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas is almost here as You, Me & The Christmas Trees kicks off the festive slate of programming on Friday, October 22. Starring Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years), Benjamin Ayres (Suits), and Jason Hervey (The Wonder Years), the movie follows Olivia (McKellar) who is Connecticut’s resident expert on evergreens.
