Good episode

I'm not a fan of the kardashians but this was a funny episode! You got the return of Terry Fink, you got a funny music video about clubbing, and the dog spanx sketch was cute.

I think the writing helped Kim out a lot here and it was a lot stronger than last week. Elon Musk's episode remains the worst episode in SNL history.

Surprisingly OK... but not great.

I had really low expectations for this episode. Not only because Kim K makes me cringe all over, but because I don't enjoy when non-actors host, with the exception of singers, who somehow are pretty good. I gotta admit, she wasn't as bad as I thought she would be. If she had taken acting lessons instead of establishing her fame with sex tapes, she could've used her foot in the door to do other things.

I hated that most of the skits were demonstrations of vapidity. 🙄 we already know that, but the girls in the club rap sketch really spoke to me as a 38 year old woman. Preach that pepto!

Not a fan of KK or her family, but kudos to her for delivering a funny and self-deprecating monologue with aplomb. I enjoyed it, to my great surprise. The Bachelor skit was amusing, too. Weekend Update was pretty weak, and the other skits were meh.

The "bachelorette" ripoff skit was indicative of the entire episode.

No jokes, just a parade of celebrities / former SNL guests yucking it up on camera, desperate to suck at the teat of her Kim Kardashian money machine.

It's probably a good idea if you get guests on who can read cue cards without looking like a deer about to be hit by a semi. Just a thought, SNL.

...that's what I thought of when she walked out looking like Times Square Elmo got bleached pink from an Ibiza foam party.

Influencers are really product spokespeople for whatever crap they're peddling. On average 50% of people despise ads or being sold to; therefore, put a wanna-be perfomer/actor/advertiser as host and 50% of the audience is gone.

Having her host only added to her "brand" and not to SNL and their advertisers.

And, my goodness she is not funny. Luckily her horrific performance made the cast and writers step up a bit, but still a terrible episode.

SNL needs to stop dealing in populism/reality tv etc.... make fun of it, but don't engage it. Yeccch... that episode made me feel gross.

The Kim Show

I watched the sketches. I liked them. I feel like the writers went weird this week and she just went with it. Starting from the monologue, it was clear she was game and she seemed to enjoy being there.

Literally don't watch her show ever and had a bad attitude about her hosting... but this episode had me laughing so much bc she was making fun of herself, her family and her wealthy lifestyle. It was actually entertaining and if you think it's a bad episode you have either no sense of humor or just insist on having no sense of humor. She was really cute and funny and I appreciated being able to finally laugh at SNL all over again without the former president having a single thing yo do w it. Great job to Kim and her friends & family!

I'm not a fan of INFLUENCERS, yet this episode wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There certainly were many clever spots and self deprecating humor! Cudos to Kim Kardashion for a good job.

The Only Funny Sketches...

The only sketches where I even chuckled were one of Michael Che's jokes on Weekend Update, and the "Hard Seltzer" sketch, which was hilarious.

The thing they both had in common? Neither had Kim and her frozen face very obviously reading the cue cards. This was so bad. Please: even your talented writers could not overcome this woman's lack of talent!

And Kim: Psst...stop it with the botox. It makes you look like a robot.

Absolutely the best episode I've seen in years! The only ones who are hating on this episode are the ones that don't like the family and don't even give them a chance. I loved it. I'm a 35 year old mom of 3, the opposite of superficial like them, but I really enjoyed her show. Great job Kim!

Abysmal

Outside of Weekend Update, I think I laughed twice. The Terry the Film Critic bit in the middle of the news segment was hilarious. The rest of the show was absolute crap. It's hard to believe that the same group of folks made the previous week's show.

The show has finally hit its lowest moment ever.

I can't see how it could get any worse. With the producers insisting with actors like Kyle Mooney, Punkie Johnson and now bringing a hostess with ZERO talent and as funny as a bone fracture, it's clear for the fans now, that they need to remodel at least half of the cast, or continue to sink as they have, experiencing historical low rates.

The Kardashian Empire was intricately and carefully crafted to capitalize oh hatred from the bitter and jealous. This episode having a 4/10 just goes to prove that. Kim did a really good job as host, and the social media as well as critical reception for the episode proves that. People vote poorly because of hatred and jealousy of the Kardashians, not based on the quality of Kim's hosting or the episode as a whole. You do realize your bitterness is exactly what the Kardashians want right?

Are these now all inside jokes? I don't watch TV much and don't follow celebrities, so I am used to SNL skits being self-explanatory that you could enjoy without knowing all the references. This is now based on some people rambling complete nonsense and public laughing for no obvious reason. I couldn't enjoy a single skit this season so far. Who are these aimed at? This is an extremely dumbed down version of older SNL. Feels like some amateur youtube channel. I guess I'll pass on this season and wait if next gets a complete writers ovehaul.

I normally dont review episodes but saw this got a low score and felt it was unfair. Kim does a great opening filled with honest self irony and the family acts great in all scenes. Nearly all sketches and jokes landed perfectly, Ive been watching SNL for years, keep it up SNL!

KK had zero talent, she looked like a deer caught in headlights while reading her cue cards. After the 20 years I've been watching this show, I can honestly say this might be the worst episode in SNL history and I lost some respect for them - cowtowing to a world who wouldn't give SNL the time of day if it didn't feature a Kardashian or equivalent. If you watch carefully, you can see how pained the cast was working along with this hack and her entourage. Halsey and weekend update were the only redeeming segments. It's hard to believe the same crew did Owen Wilson and Rami Malek's shows - but I guess that's what happens when they work with actual talent.

This is like the female equivalent of the Elon Musk episode from last season. As expected, Kim's delivery was stiff as a pencil. The writing was abysmal. I wasn't too keen on Halsey's first song. I sort of liked Halsey's second song. That was about it. It was just bad and filled with cringe.

As a non-american this episode was a lot funnier than the previous one because it wasn't just all political jokes that I didn't understand. Also had low expectations because of KK but she actually did better than expected.

When i tell you how much i laughed ! I was so shocked too that was so unexpected of Kim the whole set the crew it was all perfect. She handled it so well the way she kept a straight face I would have been laughing from the start. Bravo.
