A 44 minute excuse for a car commercial
puterjunk27 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Fairly typical episode, with Aiden being made to once again act "adorably clueless," this time indirectly causing Jimsam and Melinda to have to get a new car, which is then name-checked and talked about like you'd see in a car ad. The rest of the plot plays out like many other episodes have, fairly predictable and with overly contrived "surprises" that ends up being somewhat insulting to the audience's intelligence. The ghost's death occurs during the committing of a crime, which is actually a felony and would likely result in manslaughter charges, and the crime was against a cop - but nobody gets in trouble at all. Instead, once the cop and his daughter (the real culprit) agree to be nicer to each other, the ghost goes off into the light without the other characters even noticing it. Perhaps it's because he was the kid from the wrong side of the tracks whose parents don't even show up in the episode, and the other two teens are the cop's daughter and the popular high school jock. The moral of the story (brought to you by GMC) appears to be that parents should let their kids do whatever they want rather than being protective of their children - unless you can see ghosts and your 5 year old son can, too, of course.
