Exclusive: Phil Keoghan, host of The Amazing Race and Tough As Nails, is plotting another unscripted competition series for CBS.
Deadline understands that Keoghan is working on an elite physical competition series, which is understood to be in the early stages of development at the network.
The series is expected to feature athletes with brains, brawn, endurance, agility and mental toughness, who will compete to prove themselves as the toughest.
The project is certainly on brand for Keoghan, who runs Tough House Productions. It’s not clear yet whether Keoghan will host the series or just produce.
It comes as Tough As Nails is on an off-cycle this summer and will not air as part of CBS’ reality schedule. Season five of the show aired in July, as did the first season, but season two premiere in February 2021, season three launched in October 2021 and season four kicked off in January...

Wayne Brady is known for his wacky and sometimes wild improv segments on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, which often helps him at other gigs.
One of those other gigs is the popular game show Let’s Make a Deal, which has Brady as the host.
He recently experienced a bizarre exchange with a contestant on the show who said she would “slap” him.
Brady was asking for it, though, as he said he wanted to try some “choreography” with the woman.
The result was the woman telling him, “I’m so sorry,” and Brady acted like he was in pain.
The recent game show highlight arrived after a Drew Carey highlight from The Price Is Right featured him accidentally slapping a contestant’s face.

The talented Wayne Brady will appear in an iconic role this month as he suits up for his latest adventure in entertainment.
Brady, best known for hosting TV’s Let’s Make a Deal, and his improv comedy skills on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, has also had plenty of unique roles on stage.
Now, he will appear in the Tony Award-winning musical The Wiz as the title character.
He recently addressed what it’s like to take on that role as he admired a larger-than-life image of himself as the character.
“Does it really sink in when you see your face on the wall?” CBS Sunday Morning’s interviewer asked him.
“I think it sinks in. This never gets old,” he admitted, adding, “I mean, come on. It’s my big old head on Broadway.”

A Let’s Make a Deal contestant got a bit handsy while contemplating an offer for another prize.
During a recent segment on the show, Wayne Brady was on stage wearing a mustache as he presented a game for prizes.
The pair of contestants had to write down either “TV” or “Camp” on white cards to see if their answers matched to win a prize.
When Brady asked them to reveal their cards, the buzzer sounded as they each had a different answer.
“Oh no. Oh, my goodness. Well, that was not a match,” Brady said before asking each of them to explain why they answered the way they did.
“Because I like TVs,” the woman said after the guy said he wrote camping because he was “going camping tomorrow” and has a lot of TVs.

The 51-year-old recently revealed several other wild jobs he had before television and is now featured as the host of an intriguing group experiment.
While contestants can receive cash prizes for those deals, Pay Progress Forward relies on a group’s generosity to determine whether they win.
A new YouTube video begins with the notion that many Americans live “paycheck to paycheck.”
However, the financial technology company Chime believes its experiment will show that struggling individuals want to help others in addition to themselves.

The Price Is Right fans said goodbye to host Bob Barker last year, but the show continues with Drew Carey taking over his duties. It has recently been revealed the show does have behind the scenes protocols they must follow. Recently, a former producer from the show revealed one protocol that is a little surprising. It shows that behind the scenes, the administration team takes things very seriously despite all the fun everyone has on the set.

Richards, who served as the executive producer on Let’s Make a Deal and The Price is Right before moving on to Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune in 2020, was dropped as producer and host after accusations of workplace discrimination and insensitive comments made on a 2013 podcast. “I hosted one day,” Richards told People in a new interview. “And then the anti-defamation league was called in to do an investigation on me.” At the time, it came to light that Richards was named in wrongful termination and discrimination lawsuits filed by former The Price is Right models, which led to an Adl investigation. “I told them I’ll answer anything. Some fans are convinced CBS’ long-running daytime talk show The Talk will be canceled as the series has yet to be officially renewed for a 15th season. As recently revealed, the eye network will be adding all-Black soap opera The Gates to its daytime TV line-up. While CBS has yet to confirm exactly where and when The Gates will air, the schedule doesn’t leave much room for The Talk. Fellow soap operas The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful have both been renewed, so those are unlikely to be removed from the line-up. During the interview where he came out as pansexual, Brady clarified that after doing research, he considered himself “bisexual — with an open mind.”
“In doing my research, both with myself and just with the world, I couldn’t say if I was bisexual, because I had to really see what that was, especially because I really have not gotten a chance to act on anything,...

Chicago – In the case of this Ginger and Geri, no choice needs to be made because they are one and the same. Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell was a member of the best selling female pop group in history, the Spice Girls. She appeared in Downers Grove (Illinois) for her new novel, “Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen.”
Photographer Joe Arce captured this Exclusive Photo before her sold-out meet, greet and book signing event last month, sponsored by Anderson’s Bookshop, at the historic Tivoli Theatre in Downer’s Grove. In her children’s middle school novel “Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen,” the title character is orphaned and alone, sent to a boarding school called Bloodstone Island. While acclimating, Rosie confronts a menacing deputy headmaster, a group of mean kids intent on destroying her, and shocking family secrets.

Kevin Bacon addressed the ongoing dual Hollywood strikes today as he unveiled his new podcast Six Degrees with Kevin Bacon.
In an interview on Today show where he announced the podcast, Bacon was asked about the current status of the strikes and a response to those who would say it’s about rich actors who just want to make more money.
“In terms of rich actors, a very small percentage of our union is doing very, very well. Most of the people are living hand-to-mouth, those are the people that we are striking for,” Bacon said. “My situation is not the same as the majority of our union. When it comes to writers and actors, we are artists, so all of our membership are artists so if you do well you get to make your art. On the other side, they’re dealmakers, so if they do well, they get to make a deal.
