Sex & Nudity

  • This movie does not involve graphic sexual details, but the theme of rape is recurrent, and such scenes are fairly strong and disturbing to watch. There are several parts of dialogues in which men offend a woman (and women in general). Many derogatory, woman-hating terms can be heard.
  • A woman implies to another woman that she should have sex with men in order to make them like her.
  • A woman is seen for most of the time wearing only a babydoll. The same babydoll is later worn by a young man.
  • A woman is seen lying with a young man on a couch and a bed a few times, neither of them are fully clothed; one scene is rather romantic, but the others are not. In a couple of scenes, they kiss deeply, using their tongues too. Such moments have a very dirty feeling to them, as the woman is weak and pretty much becomes the guy's sexual toy. In one scene, a man's belt is buckled around her neck, and the rapist refers to it as a leash.
  • A young man and woman have rough doggy-style sex on a couch, dressed up in a bizarre and perverted way. She moans loudly. Another man watches and laugh; it is pretty clear that she is being forced to have sex. The scene is brief and not much nudity is seen.
  • A young man who is quite out of his mind pulls another man down on his knees and firmly asks him to give him oral sex. The other man begs him to stop. The other guy stops, laughs and says that was a joke, but that is not the impression the viewer and the victim had.

Violence & Gore

  • This film contains many violent moments, including rape scenes, and, although not all of them are graphic, they are all strong on a psychological level, and a fair amount of blood is present.
  • A sequence taking place in a laboratory shows gross and disturbing imagery, such as body parts (eyes, hands, etc.) placed on a table, and people, including a ligttle girl, kept in shockening conditions.
  • A young man chops up dead people with an axe. Nothing is shown, but the chopping can be heard. Then, we see the young man with some blood on him, along with the rather bloody axe. Later we see many black trash bags which contain the bodies' pieces.
  • Two men want to force another man to chop up a dead person with an axe; he refuses to do so and one of the other men threathens to break his arm, unless another character chops up the corpse instead. The man screams in agony while the man is twisting his arm; the other character decides to obey and starts chopping the body with the axe (offscreen).
  • A man threatens another man with a taser. They fight briefly, and a shot is heard from a real gun; one of the two men is dead.
  • A woman is about to be raped after she tries to lure a man; he hits her in the face, she falls unconscious, then he proceeds to rape her. The woman becomes conscious again and stabs him in the ear with a pen (no blood).
  • A young man who is quite out of his mind seems to want to rape another man, but does not actually do it.
  • A female character is raped more than once throughout the movie: all of these scenes are strong and disturbing, more psychologically than visually. She is treated very roughly in-between rapes, especially when she staggers off and begs another character to help her. As she is roughly pulled away, another man holds back the woman she begged for help to. Both of them scream, beg, and cry. She is struck in the face (usually offscreen) several times when she fights back against rape, ad her nose bleeds badly. We also see that her mouth is bloody and her knees appear scraped and bruised.
  • A man bound to a wheelchair is tortured to give up an information. They use a knife and seem to intend to tear off the nail of one of his fingers, but then decide to cut the finger itself (graphic). The man screams in pain and a woman begs the men to stop. They start to cut another finger before he tells them the information they want. Later on, one of the men who tortured him wears the man's cut finger on a necklace: it is rotting and black.
  • A woman starts to menstruate and soakes a couch with her blood.

Profanity

  • Lots of profanity of all sorts, including several uses of "f**k", "s**t", "bi**h". Also some derogatory jargon towards women and people of other races; "fag/faggot" is used many times.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some smoking.
  • Some drinking, including playing drinking games. Some characters are drunk.
  • A wounded character takes pain-killers.
  • Two characters share a joint they found.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • For most of the movie, the main characters are on the edge, either being attacked, attacking someone else, or being paranoid about each other. The character's mental and physical health erodes severely during the course of the movie. The threat of rape is used on both female and male characters.
  • The movie begins with a nuclear blast, with lots of explosions, fire and frightening destruction. This scene is very intense: people scream, weep, panic, shove each other out of the way, and scramble for safety. Later, the effects of radiation poisoning (weight loss, hair loss, teeth falling out) are shown on some characters, along with the results of malnutrition.
  • The torture scene is quite detailed and sadistic.
