It's well-acted and involving because the subject matter is up to date, involving a call-girl operation for these times, with cyber techniques involved, plus some updating of the traditional "hooker with a heart of gold" romantic concept. Michaela McManus is endearing in that role.
And for comic relief, J. B. Smoove, more recently ubiquitous in his obnoxious tv ads for the Caesars Palace gambling app tgv ads, is fun and I'm surprised they didn't sign him up to be a semi-regular for the show, rather than this brief one-shot appearance.
