In the flashbacks it's clear Brooke only suffers a head wound, and this wound is not bleeding much. Yet, somehow, she manages to leave a blood trail all the way from the room down to the lobby, with the blood drops increasing in size. Where she falls down in the lobby, there is also a substantial blood stain, yet there was no stain left where she fell during the initial assault.
Flack's conversation with Nick at the limousine is supposed to take place somewhere in New York City, but three things belie the locale as Los Angeles: An orange MTA Metro bus passing by (NYC buses are typically blue and white), a nearby company called "Coast Stationery" (The word "coast" is usually associated with Southern California businesses), and a banner in the background advertising a phone number with a 213 (Downtown L.A.) area code (NYC area codes are 212, 347, 646, 718, 917, and 929).
