"How do you do? I'm Christopher Lee", or "My name is Christopher Lee. How do you do?". With either one of these simple sentences, the awesome Mr. Lee has thus far always started his brief introductions to the short stories shown in "Theater Macabre". Well, if you must know, I'm not doing too well, Mr. Lee! And that's all because the quality and entertainment levels of this TV-series is getting worse with each new episode I watch! None of the first three episodes were very good, but at least they were original and compelling enough to remain entertained. Episodes 4 and 5 are both terrible and practically without any redeeming elements whatsoever. In fact, these are so bad I might just give up on the series entirely if I see another two or three like this.
A short tale entitled "The Vampire" always sounds promising, but this one is downright miserable. I'm pretty sure Christopher Lee never saw the actual episode, otherwise he - with all his vampire experience - certainly wouldn't want to be associated with it.
The script is boring beyond words, the "vampires" are pathetic, and the wannabe Abraham Van Helsing character is even worse. There's absolutely nothing positive or even worth mentioning about this half hour waste of time, apart maybe from the good looks of the lead actress (name unknown).
