- Open with Liz and Jack discussing the new cast member search. Liz has been looking in places like San Francisco and Toronto, but Jack wants her to really focus on middle America. As they think about what makes "actual human beings laugh," Lutz walks in and spills some pudding and the two crack up.
Tracy is told two celebrities have recently died. Frank tells Tracy about the "Rule of Three," where celebrities always die in threes. Tracy gets up just before a light would have crashed down on top of him.
Jenna has been pushing the writers around in anticipation of the new cast member. Kenneth suggests she think about being nice to them instead.
Since he's from Middle America, Jack wants to know what makes Kenneth laugh. "The usual," he says, "Two hobos sharing a bean. Lady Airline pilots." Kenneth's family were originally from a place called SexCriminalBoat. He tells Jack that back in Stone Mountain, Georgia, everyone used to go to a converted pig slaughtering building called the Laugh Factory.
Jack tells Liz they are going to Stone Mountain.
The writers are trying to figure out how to have a cool Halloween party this year.
Tracy tells Jack about his fear of being the third dead celebrity. Jack tells him it is a myth.
Jenna is starting to hang out with writers and they don't like it. Their plan is to get rid of her "one prank at a time."
On their way to Stone Mountain, Liz tries to convince Jack that no part of the country is any more American than any other part. She gets a sandwich at Fatty Fat's Sandwich Ranch.
In an effort to "take matters into my own hands," Tracy calls Betty White and yells "Boo!" White figures out why Tracy is calling and assures him "I will be at your funeral. I will bury you."
With Liz' sandwich not exactly agreeing with her, she and Jack check into their motel. The man behind the counter says down in Georgia they refer to Manhattan as SexCriminalBoat.
Jenna and some of her gay male friends are chilling in the writer's room. Cerie tells Frank that she and her hot girlfriends usually go to Halloween parties thrown by gay men: "We kiss each other, get into vans, black-out."
Frank convinces the rest of the guys they have to start being nice to Jenna in order to get into one of the parties.
Liz is bent over the toilet sick, so Jack tells her he will go to the Laugh Factory alone. Jack absolutely loves a ventriloquist act.
Frank asks Jenna if they can combine their Halloween party with that of her gay friends. When Frank leaves the room, one of her gay friends tell Jenna the writers are just using her to get invited to a party with hot girls.
The next morning Frank tells Liz he has hired the ventriloquist, Rick Wayne, to be on TGS. Liz is upset that he made the move without her, and assures him "were not hiring anyone until I see them."
Jimmy Fallen walks down to the studio. Just before Tracy tries to bludgeon Fallen, Kenneth yells for him to stop. Fallen then tries to kill Tracy. Fallen promises that if a celeb doesn't die soon, he is going to kill his first guest of that night's show, "a dog who plays soccer."
Liz tells Pete on the phone that her plan is to heckle Wayne badly enough that he won't want to come to New York.
With the party about to start, Jenna tells the guys she will cancel the event if they don't give her "two good sketches a week, a promise to hate the new cast member, and no more making fun of me when I misuse dated cultural references."
When Liz tries to heckle Wanye, he and his dummy turn the tables and mercilessly tear into Liz .Jack is shocked that the wholesome southerners think the cruel humor is funny, realizing that they are "just like New Yorkers." Eventually he begins attacking the dummy and tells Wayne the deal is off.
