The original proposed name for the band was 'Black Casino'. The band later settled on the stronger, more unique name ' Coffin Carousel' because of its stronger connection to the Horrorpunk themes and the fact it hadn't been used by any other bands at the time.
The go go dancers wear stitched up wounds across their faces in the shape of large smiles. The cut smiles pay homage to the infamous 1947 'Black Dahlia' murders.
The band opened for 'Wednesday 13' and 'Davey Suicide' during the 2018 Australian Tour 'The Condolences'. Continuing on from the success of that tour, the band later toured with Michale Graves (ex-Misfits) during his mini Australian tour.
