Rani faces a terrifying future, alone, unloved, an outcast. Eve refuses to give up control of her 'friends.'
Fair to say I had mixed feelings about the first episode, no such confusion here, this delivered.
One thing you could always be assured of with Russel T Davies, was the emotional engagement, something his predecessors could never equal him on, this really does tug at the heart strings.
At times I thought it was a bit mushy, and a little bit sentimental, but the twist at the end came as a real surprise, and really did allow for some big character development for Rani.
Two further surprises, the return of K9, and the return of an old friend imminent.
They really tried to do something very different here, I wasn't initially convinced, but it won me over, 8/10.
