This was a very promising show pilot for people who enjoy some fantasy-mystery Lost-like television. It sure was made because of Lost success because the idea is pretty similar and it was started only a year after Lost ended
There were some things that seemed too weird for me. Like the fact that Joe Tucker found the key in the Bible 5 minutes after waking up. In my opinion if one wakes up in a hotel without knowing how one got there the first reaction is not checking Bible for a way out.
It also seemed unreasonable to me that when the elevator came they all just went in without even discussing if it is a good idea. You are abducted and your abductors send you an elevator, do you want to get in or do you feel some doubts about that? Also one thing I noticed is the character Charlie tells Bill to shoot him because he has nothing to lose even though a few minutes ago he was saying that he is worried about his wife who needs him But those are small things that don't ruin this episode for me.
I liked the dramatic starting, how this whole episode makes you want to watch it, the interesting setting with people who work there and don't know what is going on
The pilot leaves us with a lot of questions like where are they, why, is anyone one of "them"? And we get some interesting details like the drugs in Moira's pocket and the fortune cookie message for Janet "Kill your neighbour and you will go free" that make us look forward to the next episode. Very promising, hope it stays this way
