A middle aged man came home after work. When he got in, he noticed an out loud music came from upstairs where his nanny (Leila Merton) was taking care of his only child. After a little argument, the man realized the baby was dead in the crib. Later that night, forensics examined the body and something strange come to light: the baby was shaken to death, caused by internal bleeding inside the skull. Detectives narrow suspect down to people who had access to the house: two parents, the nanny and the man ex-wife who still held house key. Later on, anyway, coppers figured out the babysitter used to have sex with her boyfriend, a private deployed in Afganistan who had a bad temper, in the places where she had worked. But finding the perp is not as easy as it seems.
In this episode we see that sometimes opinion made by forensics could be debated. Doctor was not so sure about the time the shaking occurred, she had to think twice before making a statement, that could have saved a suspect's life.
