Don McLean, the singer/songwriter best known for the ’70s hit “American Pie,” was arrested for domestic violence early Monday by police in Camden, Maine, NBC affiliate Wcsh reports. McLean, 70, was charged and transported to Knox County Jail shortly after 3 a.m., police said. He posted bail and was released shortly after. The musician is expected in Knox County District Court on Feb. 22.
