Further straight-faced plot development as the actors settle into the roles

Warning: Spoilers
S02Ep04: An important step forward, eventually uncovering a compass which will lead the Seeker to the Stone.

Straight-faced delivery of lines is an incredible testimony to the ability of *all* the actors and actresses involved, as they settle into their stride in season two. The "former" Mord-Sith character Cara is steadily becoming human and learning to trust as she develops following her life as a "broken" Mord-Sith (S02Ep03 - "Broken").

Cara's character is vying with Kahlan's character and it is refreshing to see two strong female characters written to work in harmony (and effortlessly sharing screen-time) without - apparently - trying to edge each other out of the picture. There is also light humour- in all, these episodes are shaping up as enjoyable, light, entertainment. The stunning New Zealand scenery doesn't harm the story, either.

Having discovered this series in 2018 (the two seasons ran between 2008-2010), I am forming the opinion that this may stand as one of the better "sword and sorcery" series. It is a shame that these enjoyable 42-minute episodes were never taken through to the final third series/season as was presumably planned.

This is S02Ep04, so another 18 remain in the DVD set to watch. I continue to enjoy this series.

Confession
tenshi_ippikiookami2 August 2016
The team discovers that there is another Confessor alive, but that she is imprisoned in a tower. They decide to go and help her, without knowing that she has been kidnapped by a wizard. Not only so, she doesn't know of her powers and because of that, doesn't know how to use or control them.

This second season of "Legend of the Seeker" continues to be an improvement over the first, with lots of interesting situations and tension. The addition of Cara to the team, and a more loose story has actually make the show quite fun to watch, with lots of plot and character development on top of moments that will make the viewer think. It is not deep or life-changing, but it is surprising that the tone and the pace of the episodes are really good. And this "Touched" is probably the best of the second season so far. The action moments are just OK, but all the other parts of the episode more than make up for it. A pleasure to be forty minutes with these characters.
