- Lanie Parish: Multiple GSWs. Entries look fairly small-caliber, probably a .22.
- Kate Beckett: [seeing words scribbled on the victim's face] "Psycho The Rapist"? "Your out of time"?
- Lanie Parish: Looks like a patient lost their patience.
- Richard Castle: Also his command of grammar. "Your" should be U-apostrophe-R-E, as in "you are". That's not even a tough one, not like when to use "who" or "whom.
- Kate Beckett: Do you really think *that's* the take-away here, Castle?
- Richard Castle: I'm just saying whoever killed her also murdered the English language.
- [Lanie arrives at the crime scene in an evening dress with a low neck-line]
- Kate Beckett: Dr. Parish. When'd they change the dress code downtown?
- Lanie Parish: Well, unlike you, I don't sit around work all night waiting for the next vic to show.
- [without looking up she continues]
- Lanie Parish: Quit looking at the girls, Castle.
- Richard Castle: Roger that.
- Richard Castle: Oh, and by the way, it's a common mistake, but it's not ironic that Dr. Cosway's not here for you to lean on. It's just simply tragic. It'd be ironic if her death made you feel better.
- [Beckett, Esposito, and Ryan are stuck on their respective cases]
- Kate Beckett: It's just we've been over these cases so many times, it's hard to see straight anymore. All right. We'll start over. Fresh eyes. You take our murder, we'll take yours.
- Javier Esposito: All right.
- Richard Castle: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa... Say that again.
- Kate Beckett: You take our murder, we'll take yours.
- Richard Castle: Could it be that easy? You take mine, I'll take yours.
- Javier Esposito: What are you getting at, Castle?
- Richard Castle: "Strangers on a Train".
- Kevin Ryan: The Hitchcock movie?
- Richard Castle: I'm partial to the novel by Patricia Highsmith, but yes. We have two *strong* suspects, but with airtight alibis, right?
- [Castle takes pictures of suspects off the murder board]
- Javier Esposito: Right.
- Richard Castle: We know they're connected. What if the connection is the killers?
- Kate Beckett: Jason and Eric committed each other's murders.
- Richard Castle: And made sure they had an *airtight* alibi for the murder they knew they'd be suspected of. It's not our victims who are connected. It's our murderers! Crisscross!
- Kate Beckett: Are we really rooting against solving a murder?
- Richard Castle: Well, I don't want to shave my head, do you?
- Kate Beckett: Why would I shave my head?
- Richard Castle: You're in on the bet, aren't you?
- Kate Beckett: Yeah, but I didn't realize...
- [Castle pantomimes running an electric razor over his head]
- [first lines]
- [the squad room is a complete zoo while Beckett calmly drinks coffee and Castle eats pop-corn and enjoys the 'show']
- Richard Castle: [to Beckett] What is it about... full moons that bring out all the crazies?
- Kevin Ryan: How you doing, Dr. Perlmutter?
- M.E. Sidney Perlmutter: Shh. The body is speaking.
- Javier Esposito: What's it saying?
- M.E. Sidney Perlmutter: It's saying "Someone *shot* me." One to the mid-section, .38. Maybe even a .45. He was shot at close range and from behind.
- Javier Esposito: That's cold.
- M.E. Sidney Perlmutter: Yeah, well, that's the living for you.
- Det. Roselyn Karpowski: Beckett, you are never gonna believe this
- Kate Beckett: Oh, the bar on unbelievable is pretty high right now.
- Richard Castle: Well, whoever she had dinner with may have been the last person to see her alive.
- Kate Beckett: Or the first one to see her dead.
- Javier Esposito: Got another. Pop-and drop on Hundredth and Second.
- Richard Castle: Full moon strikes again.
- Kate Beckett: [to Esposito and Ryan] All right, you guys go on uptown and I'll finish up here.
- Kevin Ryan: So much for my famous warm honey-milk with Jenny tonight.
- [pause]
- Kevin Ryan: Did I just say that out loud?
- Kevin Ryan: Turns out our vic had a rent-controlled apartment. Stays in the family, it stays rent-controlled.
- Javier Esposito: $562 a month. Three bedrooms.
- Kate Beckett: I'd kill for that.
- [last lines]
- [to Ryan and Esposito about who solved their case first]
- Richard Castle: [laughing] Yeah, well, then how about NASCAR? As our car flew to the checkered line, you guys crashed and burned.
- Kate Beckett: Under a beautiful full moon.
