Sex & Nudity

  • Archer is mentioned to have sex with multiple women.
  • There are many sexual references in the show, but no sex is ever shown or heard.
  • Characters are sometimes seen nude after sex but nudity is limited to buttocks and certain parts of female breasts.
  • A woman is seen naked, but the Popsicles she's holding are covering her nipples.
  • In the newer episodes, Pam is mentioned having sex with women.
  • Many innuendos.
  • Women wear provocative outfits.
  • Krieger has a holographic waifu named Mitsuko.
  • Many references to sex, and several animated sex scenes that include partial nudity.
  • Mitsuko wears a revealing wedding dress that reveals her breasts.
  • Seasons 13 and 14 contain less mature content than others in the series.

  • Archer, the main protagonist, is a womanizer. There are occasional references to his partners, but most of the times, it is in a comedic manner.

Violence & Gore

  • Some scenes throughout the show contain intense gore and dismemberment.
  • Strong violence including shootings and fights are often shown. However, injury detail is regular.
  • The characters who are killed are mostly anonymous henchmen, and they are shot with almost no thought. However, the violence is often over-the-top, but it can still be shocking. Also, blood and bullet wounds are shown. Although it is animated, it is still graphic.

Profanity

  • There are uses of the middle finger in some episodes.
  • The word "fag" has been said once or twice.
  • Season 12 is uncensored on Hulu.
  • Season 12 and Season 14 the show is gonna be 100% uncensored.
  • The profanity is infrequent, but it is often crude most of the time.
  • "Shit", "bitch", and "ass" are often said throughout every episode, as well as religious profanities such as "Jesus Christ", and "goddamn".
  • The word "fuck" has been used infrequently, but it is bleeped when it's used, with the only exceptions being Season 7 on Netflix and Season 8 on Teletoon (Canada).

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In two different episodes, it is implied that two different characters got drunk and they had sex.
  • Archer and his mother, Malory, are high functioning alcoholics. They are seen drinking almost constantly, but this is most of the humor on the show.
  • Most of the other characters are seen drinking at some point, in much more sanctioned settings.
  • Some marijuana and hallucinogen use.
  • One character is a heroin addict. His usage is not very graphic, but it is often exploited.
  • The entirety of Season 5 has the characters trying to sell a literal tone of cocaine. One becomes addicted, which is mainly used for comic effect.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The show can be violent at times, but most of the violence that happens in the show is tongue in cheek.
  • Rated TV-MA for strong violence, bloody images, sexual content, language and drug use.
  • Random acts of violence have been used for sake of comedy. A recurring gag involves the same character being shot by the same person.
