Bigfoot? UFOs? and Jesus?
DeusWar4 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Honestly, this movie is a great example of false advertising as it has little to do with the title. The real title of this movie should have been 'Coming Home' or something to that extent, as the movie is really about a washed-up music star that is coming home to her small Michigan town to heal her relationship with God and her past after her abusive father passed away.

The UFO/Bigfoot element really didn't even need to be in the movie. It was more of a gimmick to attract viewers. Oddly enough, this movie portrays UFOs as Angels, when any small amount of research will reveal that UFOs are anything but angelic -- often associated with abductions, torment, torture, and the demonic. Hopefully someone watching this movie does not decide to get into UFOs by being deceived into thinking that they are friendly.

Finally, the casting was also done poorly as the main actress appeared to be just as old if not older than the actor that was casted to be her mother and sister. I think they should have spent a little more time thinking the casting through.

The good elements of this movie were contained in the mild humor as well as the down-syndrome actor who did a great job. Overall, it is a sub-par movie. I give it a 5.

Watchable, but nothing outstanding here...
paul_haakonsen22 November 2021
With a title such as "Bigfoot, UFOs and Jesus", then I have to say that I was assuming that this movie would be a comedy that proved to have potential. So of course I sat down to watch this 2021 movie from writer DJ Perry.

Now, I had never heard about "Bigfoot, UFOs and Jesus" prior to sitting down to watch it, I will admit that much. But I do believe in giving a movie a fair chance, and if I stumble upon something that I haven't already seen, then chances are high that I am going to find time to watch it.

And while director Jesse Low managed to churn out a semi-entertaining movie with "Bigfoot, UFOs and Jesus", then it just wasn't the type of comedy that I had hoped for, actually not even remotely close to what I had hoped for. Sure, "Bigfoot, UFOs and Jesus" was watchable, but that was about it. That was this movie's problem, it was just watchable and nothing else. So this is a type of movie that you will watch once and never again.

The storyline told in "Bigfoot, UFOs and Jesus" was a bit too slow paced for my liking, and the fact that we follow multiple character's storylines just didn't help improve on the movie, as things were too mundane, slow paced and just never really culminating in anything worthwhile.

I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress in the movie, and that is something I enjoy in movies. Sadly they had not much solid material to work with in terms of an interesting script, proper characters or riveting dialogue.

My rating of "Bigfoot, UFOs and Jesus" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.

Sneaky Jesus!
BandSAboutMovies21 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I mean, with the words Jesus right in the name, can I be mad at myself for suddenly realizing in the midst of this movie that I was watching another Christian film? Look, they can't all be Laura Gemser-starring voodoo snake women movies, can they?

Hannah Howard - now a famous country singer - once saw something not of this earth. Was it...Bigfoot, UFOs and Jesus?

She's tried to forget about it until she does what everyone in every movie I watch seems to do. She comes back home.

That means that everyone wants to unlock her secrets, from her hippy mom (former SNL star Victoria Jackson, whose appearance instantly made me say, "Oh, this is a Christian movie") or her former minister (Donnie Most) or her bigfoot hunter brother (Josh "Ponceman" Perry).

To make things even stranger, the lights that she saw back then have come back to Devil's Crossroads, which means that she's about to learn just what happened.

Ah man, this movie was also called Lost Heart and if I'd known that, I wouldn't have sat through it. It's a streaming film with a message and I'm not cutting it down for having a message. If you've read the tons of religious films we've covered here, we do love a good parable, particularly if it involves Franco Nero and bad CGI. There's an idea in here that needed to be explored and it could have been a better movie - can you believe in Jesus and aliens and sasquatch?

Because I need to know that answer.

The Dove review of this movie would like to warn you that a woman in this movie has a tattoo.

religious propaganda without a good movie to back it up
GanjiekIMDB3 November 2021
If you are just a regular movie watcher looking for a 'good movie', this is not it. This movie seems to be made by/made for devout Christians, and if you are not that, you will not like this movie. It is not an interesting bigfoot movie, nor an interesting alien movie. I just want everyone to know this so you don't waste your time like I feel like I did by watching this.

Why does the leading lady looks old
zara-jane-qadry6 November 2021
The so called superstar look as old and even older than her mother and auntie. She look too old to have a teenage cousin. The casting is all wrong, story is boring, not worth the watch.

Bigflop and Nothing Happens
pete1-24 November 2021
Unbelievably bad film with terrible acting and a screenplay written by a 12 year old kid, I'm guessing. Nothing really happens except some really boring banter in cheap sets on a 5 dollar budget. It doesn't get much more pathetic an endeavor than this stinker, really.

Another religious/Christian movie
Freethinker_Atheist5 November 2021
I was lured by the "Bigfoot, UFOs" part of the title and thought "Jesus" meant it would be a comedy, but it is really just a Christian movie. Nothing interesting to see here.

A few good performances can't save this
caretaker-443-11932225 January 2022
What should have been a fun romp or message movie, is brought low by a very basic plot. Stand out performances from Donnie Most and Victoria Jackson could have saved it, if they were given more to do.

Too little Bigfoot and UFOs and a little too much Jesus in a this for my tastes. All woukd be forgiven if the script popped a bit.

Bigfoot, UFO's, and Jesus movie review
ronnieleerocks12 July 2021
Bigfoot, UFOs, and Jesus is a supernatural story about the roots of family, a real side-splitter, and a tear-jerker all the way from northern Michigan. This movie will have you laughing and in tears, as it ties your emotions on a string pulled by the director Jesse Law from the beginning to the surprise ending.

The storyline uses great Biblical parables to tell a family-centered story that has been much forgotten about forgiving one another. An entire lifetime can be nothing more than a terrible flashback memory left for us to remember or forget. Bigfoot, UFOs, and Jesus is about real people in a modern return of the prodigal son story supported by the beautiful Michigan countryside and by the original music and score.

The musical score, written by Dennis Therrian, speaks its own dialogue underlining the script with emotions that tear the viewer's eyes. Roanoke and The Cash Collective add that down-home flavor with their authentic American music that is a staple of country living. Both together stand alone as true works of art that sometimes blend unnoticeably under, around, and thru the script.

Believable flashbacks become personal memories as you are drawn into the story with more great writing by DJ Perry, author, and producer. He also plays the part of Niles Cass, a UFO journalist. As the writer, I'm sure he picked this part for himself because he gets to be the unintended victim of the actor that steals the show Josh "Ponceman" Perry. Josh plays the role of Chip, and his performance is genuinely heartwarming. Your feelings will flow from sadness to gladness and from joy to tears at his simple facial expressions that melt your heart like butter left out on the picnic table in the hot Michigan summer sun. I will watch this video again and again with my grandchildren just to see him perform.

The story tells a good thing is nothing unless you have someone to share it with, and it holds your attention and keeps you guessing. It reminds us we cannot change the past or control what people say, but we can pray about our future.

Love and a good story can transform anyone, and this film shows us we all need to be honest with each other, especially with our family, so that we can make happy day's memories together. Bigfoot, UFOs, and Jesus shows us it is never too late for us to chase our dreams so long as they are not a nightmare we could have avoided.

DJ Perry has a reputation as a movie producer who is not afraid to use a very different approach to talking about Jesus or telling a Bible story. Bigfoot, UFOs, and Jesus is another one of his great writings. His script reaches back in time and uses Bible verses to tell a very SWEET story with a real-life, fairy-tail happy ending.

Bigfoot, UFO', and Jesus is Sunday School ready, and it will not set on your shelf and collect dust. Watch it and see, and you will enjoy it as much as I have more than once. Oh, and remember, Bigfoot and Santa Claus have nothing in common. I give it 10* stars!

Great movie, funny, feeling, with a twist
btketner-2354128 September 2021
Great movie for laughter, a touch of seriousness, and plain fun. A good movie to sink into the couch with your favorite person snuggled up next to you and a snack cold or hot.
