[[tmz:video id="0_kcjhqmhq"]] TMZ Sports has obtained an audio recording of the alleged domestic dispute involving Alberto Del Rio and Paige -- in which an emotional Paige screams out, "Stay out of my life. Leave me the f*ck alone." The person who recorded the audio -- a huge wrestling fan -- says she recognized the couple while they were arguing Sunday in the middle of Orlando International Airport in Florida. The witness says she recorded the incident as evidence.

Paris Jackson, looking stunning in a glamorous cover shot, gave a revealing interview to Rolling Stone two months ago in which she disclosed that she is a survivor of sexual assault, has struggled with drugs and tried to kill herself multiple times. Since then, Paris said, she has moved past those tumultuous years and was ready to explore modeling and acting—and even dabble in music like her late father, Michael Jackson. As the cyber-azzi shared and debated Paris' Rolling Stone revelations, the paparazzi pounced on her. The day after the magazine interview came out, Paris was mobbed by a pack of photographers at Lax, causing the visibly shaken teen to run away, crying, "Leave me...

The Grounder-Sky People coaliton has fallen apart once again on The 100 Season 4 Episode 4. But, hey – what else is new?
There were plenty of intriguing parallels and plot developments throughout "A Lie Guarded." But what I liked best were the opportunities for several of the cast members to really stretch their acting chops.
I'm referring, of course, to Octavia's "death" and Bellamy's reaction to it.
"Skairippa" appeared to have been killed during a scuffle with Echo. "Scuffle" might be too light of a word – what actually happened is that Echo and Roan effectively dismantled the coalition after discovering that Skaikru was fortifying Arkadia and that they had Luna (a Nightblood).
I predicted in my reviews of The 100 Season 4 Episode 2 and The 100 Season 4 Episode 3 that Echo's decision to investigate Arkadia and Octavia's lie about the chip's destruction would come back to cause issues. I didn't think it would be this soon.

Has Hannah actually grown up and gained some self-awareness?
Girls Season 6 Episode 2 appears to suggest that the impossible has, in fact, happened. With a disastrous trip upstate, Hannah lays out some harsh truths for Marnie.
Meanwhile, back in the city, Shosh has some realizations of her own about her relationship with Jessa and her friendships.
Some of Girls' best moments take place when said girls are out of the city, thrust into new and strange environments. This was the case for Hannah with the Girls Season 6 Premiere, when she was in Montauk for the majority of the season opener.
Similarly, "Hostage Situation" found Hannah reluctantly accompanying Marnie and Desi on their secret "jaunt" to Poughkeepsie. Fittingly, that was where Marnie and Desi's relationship reached its (hopefully) final breaking point.
The revelation that Desi is actually a drug addict was, in itself, not terribly surprising. Desi has always had a...

Ariana Grande and Stevie Wonder have teamed up for a gospel-tinged duet — and we’re “into” it!
On Tuesday, the singers released the music video for “Faith,” their swagged-up, soulful contribution to the new Sing soundtrack, which was nominated for a 2017 Golden Globe.
In the colorful clip, Grande, 23, is seen skipping down the sidewalk while the animated movie’s characters appear as graffiti on brick walls. She joins the music icon, 66, at a piano onstage, where they belt out the retro-inspired jam.

With the conclusion of Scream Queens Season 2 Episode 10, another season of Scream Queens is behind us – or, should I say, at the bottom of the hospital's swamp.
The final installment of the season wrapped up the story and dispatched of many of the show's newly-introduced disposable characters, much as we expected leaving off at Scream Queens Season 2 Episode 9.
All in all, "Drain the Swamp" was an enjoyable, if slightly predictable, cap to the second season that definitely had its memorable moments.
The resolution of Nurse Hoffel's and Cassidy's stories went exactly as I'd imagined them. Like, to a T. I'd predicted that both Agatha Bean's sis and the "baby in the belly" wouldn't make it out of this season alive, and that's exactly what happened.
Kirstie Alley was wonderful as the increasingly unhinged, pill-popping Nurse Hoffel this season, an excellent adversary to the Chanels and to Dean Munsch.

Losing both breasts to cancer was already tough enough, but then Genevieve Esgate was faced with another problem — most of her wardrobe didn’t work with the scar tissue that remained on her chest.
Along with learning to accept her new, thankfully cancer-free, body, the Kingscliff, Australia-based teacher had to figure out how to dress herself again.

Did Scream Queens push the limits of believability too far and jump the shark completely?
Scream Queens Season 2 Episode 7, picking up shortly after the events of Scream Queens Season 2 Episode 6, found the Chanels (and Hester) discovering that Cassidy is, in fact, the Green Meanie killer – or at least one of them. Yet, #3 made the eyebrow-raise-worthy decision to keep quiet about her new boyfriend being a murderer.
Uhhhh... what?
Look, I don't tune into this series every week for the realism. I tune in because of the ridiculous and fun over-the-top characters' hilarious one-liners and antics. But somehow, Chanel #3 acknowledging that her dude is an actual serial killer and choosing not to turn him in is a little too much for me.
I get that her intention is to "distract" him from thinking about death and murder 37 times (or less) per day, with the hope of eventually quelling his desire to kill entirely but.

Why mess with a proven formula?
Scream Queens Season 2 Episode 6 confirmed what we'd all expected – that the murder mystery at the heart of Scream Queen Season 2 is an almost-exact mirror of Scream Queens Season 1's Red Devil set-up.
Of course, the Green Meanie(s) one-upped the Red Devil(s), in a totally literal sense – there are actually three Green Meanies, as opposed to two Red Devils. Gasp.
There was a lot of fun campiness to enjoy on "Blood Drive." For starters, we learned a lot more about Nurse Hoffel, and it finally put her seemingly-irrational hatred of the Chanels into perspective.
Nurse Ingrid Marie Hoffel is actually Ingrid Marie Bean – the late Agatha Bean's sister! Twist.
Hoffel was my first husband's name. Howard Hoffel. He died. Cancer, I think -- we weren't close. My maiden name might sound familiar -- Bean. Agatha Bean was my sister. Agatha wasn't smart. I...

James + Semaj is a column where James Franco talks to his reverse self, Semaj, about new films. Rather than a conventional review, it is place where James and Semaj can muse about ideas that the films provoke. James loves going to the movies and talking about them. But a one-sided take on a movie, in print, might be misconstrued as a review. As someone in the industry it could be detrimental to James’s career if he were to review his peers, because unlike the book industry—where writers review other writer’s books—the film industry is highly collaborative, and a bad review of a peer could create problems. So, assume that James (and Semaj) love all these films. What they’re interested in talking about is all the ways the films inspire them, and make them think. James is me, and Semaj is the other side of me.

Can the pathetic be poetic? That is the question we at the Playlist asked ourselves after viewing “Ne Me Quitte Pas (Don’t Leave Me).” Having won the Best Editing Jury Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2014, the Belgian documentary is finally getting a U.S. theatrical release at the Museum of the Moving Image from November 18th to the 27th. Presented in small increments, or chapters, the film begins with Marcel being left heartbroken by his wife who has found another man.

If you thought that American Horror Story would cap their shows-within-the show at only two... well, American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 10 definitely proved you wrong.
Rather than moving beyond the camera lens for the season finale, the majority of "Chapter 10" told the end of the Roanoke saga through the eyes of three new, distinct reality shows.
When the season began, way back on the American Horror Story Season 6 Premiere, who would have guessed that Lee Harris would end up being the sole survivor and central character? Not me, that's for sure.
But through it all, Lee did emerge as the de facto main character, and Adina Porter did an incredible job with taking a complicated, problematic character and imbuing her with sympathy and depth.
Leaving off on American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 9, I assumed that we'd see Lee get some kind of comeuppance for her various crimes. As it turned out,...

After an uncomfortably-long hiatus, Scream Queens returned in rare form with Scream Queens Season 2 Episode 5, bringing with it a new batch of Chanels... who we probably shouldn't get so attached to.
Picking up right where Scream Queens Season 2 Episode 4 left off, the cutely-named "Chanel Pour Homme-icide" did some serious work in advancing the season's plot.
Most distressingly, our fears were confirmed right off the bat: Denise Hemphill is no longer. Well, sort of.
Chanel: I could have sworn I heard Chanel #5 scream.
Munsch: How could you hear her from across the hospital?!
#3: She's drawn to Chanel #5's pain like a shark to blood in the water. She's developed a fine tune addiction to it.

While not as shocking and exciting as the last installment by any stretch, American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 8 certainly served up a few incredible moments and kept the Roanoke nightmare chugging right along to its impending conclusion.
Much like American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 7, "Chapter 8" whittled down the survivors, as both Roanoke antagonists and Roanoke houseguests were slaughtered one by one.
This time around, we lost Shelby, Dominic, Mama Polk, and Jether Polk.
As we've seen on the last several installments, the survivors remained in several separate groups throughout the hour, reuniting only at the very end.
By far the most nerve-wracking and engrossing plot involved Lee's face-off with Mama Polk and, more prominently, with Jether.
I've gotta hand it to Lee – she's a survivor. Lucky for her, the Polks are literal connoisseurs of human meat. In a genius, subtle detail, the real Polks actually know how to harvest meat from humans.

Have we ever seen a more action-packed installment of American Horror Story? I don't think so.
American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 7 featured scare after non-stop scare. And gore. Plenty of gore.
It's as though the Ahs writers somehow caught a sneak-peak of The Walking Dead Season 7 Premiere and were like, "Nah, we can top that goriness."
I can safely say that "Chapter 7" will go down as one of my favorite installments of American Horror Story ever. It was legitimately unsettling and just plain creepy, on so many different levels.
The Mvp (so to speak) of the hour was undoubtedly Kathy Bates' Agnes. I can't speak highly enough of how unsettling it was to watch Agnes talking to herself, slipping from her Butcher accent/persona into flashes of her "real"/normal self. Give her all the awards for this performance, Asap.
It's incredible how Bates' performance changed in subtle ways...

"Three days in hell," indeed!
American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 6 set us off on a whole new nightmare, that will presumably take us through the entire second half of the season.
And this "real" version of the "Roanoke Nightmare" is already about 10 times scarier than the version we've already seen.
It appears that Ryan Murphy didn't fully trust his audience to understand the twist. So he went ahead and pretty much broke it down for us with his interview with E! Online earlier this week – he explained that part of the "twist" would constitute half of the characters (the re-enactment actors) getting brand new roles for the second half of the season.
To top that off, the writers also gave us a ton of expository dialogue and conversations in order to explain, very carefully, exactly what was going on with the mid-season switcheroo.
It's actually not all that complicated. I...

Our very worst fears about Chad Radwell were confirmed in the opening scene of Scream Queens Season 2 Episode 4 – he's really, truly dead.
The rest of this installment proved that Ryan Murphy was pulling No punches when he promised that this season would be far more deadly than Scream Queens Season 1. By the end of the hour, we'd shockingly lost at least one other major character (and left a second at death's door).
It was Halloween once again on Scream Queens, and in the show's typical fashion, they pulled out all the stops. "Halloween Blues" featured several aspects that are by now staples of Scream Queens' Halloween episodes.
The first was the return of Chanel-o-Ween.
Chanel was (understandably) distraught to find out after Chad's death that 1) Chad Radwell's entire family had died shortly before he died (in a plane crash en route to stop their wedding, no less!!), 2) Chad was...

So... is that really it?
Of course we know that American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 5 is not actually the season finale – we were given the briefest hint of a promo for the next installment at the end of this hour. Yet, I have to wonder where the show will go from here, given that Shelby and Matt's story seemed to have wrapped up fairly tidily.
It was basically ghost-a-palooza in the Roanoke house, as the blood moon went into full effect and the Butcher's wrath increased accordingly.
We opened on the backstory of the house itself and the house's first owner, Edward Philippe Mott. This information was relayed via an extraordinarily dry and uncharismatic historian "appearing" on the docu-series-within-a-series "My Roanoke Nightmare."
It seemed pretty clear that it was a purposeful choice for the historian to have such a completely flat affect while telling the tale, but I honestly have no idea why.

There are hours of television you love because they're just great and others that you love in spite of the fact that they actively rip your heart out. Scream Queens Season 2 Episode 3 was one of the latter.
"Handidates," only the third installment of the season, shocked us all with a hugely unexpected, Major (and apparently non-fakeout) death of a main character. And I'm pretty torn up about it, not gonna lie.
Be aware that Huge spoilers are after the jump!
So, the big news out of the way first: Chad Radwell is no longer with us. He's dead. He was, by the looks of that final scene, brutally murdered. Stabbed right in the neck.
As a fervent enjoyer of all things Chad, I'm taking this news pretty hard.

Talk about an info-dump!
American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 4 was the televisual equivalent of reading a speculative history paper about the vanished Roanoke Colony. To rephrase: There was so. Dang. Much. Exposition.
Now, that's not all bad. In fact, some parts of "Chapter 4" were quite good.
But I do think it's hilarious that, in my review of American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 3, I remarked that it sure seemed like we got a lot of expository dialogue in that installment. "Chapter 4" made all that look like nothing at all.
Interestingly, we've now gotten answers to just about every major question we had at the beginning of American Horror Story Season 6. In less than an hour – there were so many commercials, you guys – we learned the history of just about every mysterious figure and the cursed land itself.
All of this exposition made its debut courtesy of Elias Cunningham, Cricket Marlowe, and Matt Miller in turn.

This was the best installment of the season yet.
American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 3 was a great, suspenseful hour of the series. It also managed to introduce a delightful new character – betting Cricket will go down in Ahs history as a fan favorite – and clarified a huge amount of backstory regarding the "principal" ghost, the Butcher.
One criticism to address right off the bat: "Chapter 3" was a major info dump. Like, it was so noticeably obvious that a character just went ahead and called it as it was.
The spirits downloaded to me like a paranormal zip drive.

Zip file, indeed.
Cricket was literally traipsing through the woods when the ghosts took it upon themselves to telepathically transpose the 411 about their history, motives, and plans? Uh-huh. Right. Gotcha.
Despite how unimaginatively the exposition was laid out,...

Electronic music icon Moby is back this week to announce the debut album of his latest musical venture, Moby & The Void Pacific Choir. The forthcoming record will be dubbed These Systems Are Failing and to get listeners excited, Moby has released a new single titled “Are You Lost In The World Like Me?” while also offering up a manifesto that outlines the project’s politically charged ideology.
“Are You Lost In The World Like Me?” hits big with a driving synth pop production complete with anthemic guitars, somber pads and grinding percussion. Moby delivers an 80’s flavored set of vocals for the song, complimenting the throwback production elements.
To accompany the album, he’s also released a haunting manifesto of the same name, featuring black and white imagery of the musician himself underwater alongside several figures in animal masks. Set against the surreal imagery is a powerful narration about the imminent collapse of civilization.

"So much depends / upon / a red wheel / barrow / glazed with rain / water / beside the white / chickens."
So goes "The Red Wheelbarrow," a very short "silly little" poem by William Carlos Williams quoted by Tyrell Wellick in the opening flashback scene of Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 12. It's either straightforwardly simple or deceptively complex – as good an analogy for this show as any.
"Python Pt. 2" was a great finale. The first half was quite slow, and they purposefully didn't wrap up every single plot line, but I actually feel satisfied with where we left off.
I totally get that many viewers might not feel the same way. Some people really like closure, especially when we're due to wait nearly a full year for any new episodes. For me, the answers we got were enough, and I wasn't overly frustrated with the things left dangling.

The season is off to a very creepy, very surreal start.
Luckily, American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 2 is beginning to lift the veil a bit and offer some amount of explanation into what the heck is going on in and around Shelby and Matt's North Carolina home.
While I'm still not particularly crazy about the documentary-style format, I'm beginning to mind it less and less. The present-day "real life" versions of Matt, Shelby, and Lee are pretty unobtrusive when they chime in with their commentary and observations.
Honestly, we could probably do without the present-day interjections entirely, which leads me to believe that this format will have some greater bearing on the overall story.
The voice-overs are just way too boring and too uneventful to be included just for the hell of it, you know? There has to be some grander reason they're formatting the season this way. I'll wait...

I don't know about everybody else, but I really enjoyed the first installment of Lethal Weapon. There were parts that were sort of goofy and unnecessary, but overall it succeeded at doing exactly what it was supposed to do: entertain.
While Lethal Weapon Season 1 Episode 1 was faced-paced and action packed, it also had quieter moments that showed how different it could be from the original films that starred Danny Glover and Mel Gibson.
What I liked best about the hour was being able to see the emotional side of Martin Riggs, played masterfully by Clayne Crawford. Right off the bat, we see what makes Riggs tick. He's on a job when his wife calls to tell him she's headed to the hospital to have their child. While he quickly takes care of the drug runners he's been chasing, Miranda is tragically killed.

The mystery of mum led the way on Lucifer Season 2 Episode 1 as Chloe and Lucifer investigated the murder of a stand-in actress, and we were introduced to a new character.
It's almost like we never left as it's only two days after the events of Lucifer Season 1 Episode 13 where Lucifer almost lost his life and found out his mom had escaped Hell. Lucifer is quite understandably worried about his missing mom, and as we progress through the hour, we realize that her escape has left him far more vulnerable than he even realizes.
With the exception of the introduction of Ella Lopez, which I'll get to later, I thought the hour was strong and a lot of fun. And, we were definitely left with some intrigue, right?!
We open with Lucifer and Amenadiel at the scene of a jewel heist where they think the leader is their mom in disguise.

If there's one thing that's an absolute on Gotham, it's that Jim Gordon will always be one miserable S.O.B. So, if anyone thought for one minute during the opening of Gotham Season 3 Episode 1 that things were going to be all sunshine and roses for Jim, they obviously need to have their head examined.
Jim Gordon is not destined to be happy.
t
I can't imagine for one minute, even if Lee didn't have a new boyfriend, that she would've been happy to see Jim. He abandoned her. He basically killed their child. He chose Gotham (and Bruce) over her after he escaped from prison (though she couldn't have know that, but she would've found out).
Even 20 bouquets of roses every day for 20 years couldn't make up for any of that.
So, I'm relieved Jim didn't get the happy ending he thought he might after Gotham Season 2 Episode 22. Besides,...

Chess has been a theme throughout much of Mr. Robot Season 2. If we're thinking in chess terms, Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 10 is the act of getting all of your chess pieces in order for your final, game-winning (or losing) move.
In a word, it was epic.
I definitely preferred the later, tension-filled half of "Hidden Process," though there was no lack of great moments in the earlier half, which functioned mostly to set things up for the eventual madness of that final scene.
Seriously, the entire last 10-ish minutes were almost unbearably tense. Just when I thought things couldn't get any more nail-bitingly suspenseful, they upped the ante in the craziest way.
Let's start with the Elliot/Joanna plot, which I particularly enjoyed because (as I've said about a hundred times already) I completely adore Rami Malek's and Stephanie Corneliussen's acting and their chemistry together.

As the season hits its home stretch, Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 9 marks what is sure to be a pivotal installment of the series – and one of the best yet.
"Init 5" was deliciously tense and a welcome return to Elliot after the Elliot-less (but still wonderful) Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 8.
We opened on a rundown of exactly what happened between the end of Mr. Robot Season 1 and Elliot ending up in jail, continuing the ongoing Mr. Robot Season 2 use of flashbacks to fill in gaps between and before what we've seen already. The knock at Elliot's door in the closing moments of the Mr. Robot Season 1 Finale was the police coming to arrest him.
As many had guessed, the crime that landed Elliot in the big house was the hack on Krista's scumbag boyfriend and stealing the guy's dog. Of all the things Elliot has done, it's pretty laughable that this...

If you thought Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj's performance at the 2016 MTV VMAs was hot, trust us when we say that the divas' music video for "Side to Side" is even hotter. Hannah Lux Davis directed the clip, which begins with Grande leading a sexy spin class. After taking a few swings in the ring with some badass boxers, the singer hits the showers, where she meets Minaj in the sauna. Oh, and did we mention that they're surrounded by shirtless Ken dolls? The Vevo video premiered via Guess' website late Sunday. "Side to Side" is lifted from Grande's album, Dangerous Woman. Other collaborators include Future ("Everyday"), Macy Gray ("Leave Me Lonely") and Lil Wayne...

For anyone who thought that Elliot inherited all of the unhinged genes in the Alderson family, well... Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 8 certainly cleared that misconception right up for you.
Darlene has been spiraling all season, in Elliot's absence, and "Successor" displayed the apex of that spiraling: cold-blooded murder.
The show has done a great, subtle job of hinting at Darlene slowly losing it since the very beginning of Mr. Robot Season 2.
In my review of Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 3, I specifically wondered whether Darlene might be capable of murdering Mrs. Romero, given her reaction to Mobley saying that Mrs. Romero saw him at the house shortly before her son was found dead. In retrospect, that's some great foreshadowing and a wonderfully subtle performance on Carly Chaikin's part.
I was a little bit disappointed that Darlene's victim was such a random character. Susan Jacobs' importance always felt like a bit of a retcon,...

There are some hours of television that I immediately recognize that I (and everyone else watching) will either love or hate. There is no in between.
Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 6 is one of those hours – well, hour and ten minutes, technically – and I absolutely, unabashedly loved it. Buckle up, folks, this is a long review.
Regular watchers of this series already know that Mr. Robot is a one-of-a-kind, unique show, but the opening twenty minutes of "Master Slave" cements it.
Rather than picking up where we left off on Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 5 – with Elliot getting the snot viciously beaten out of him by Ray's minions – it completely veers off in a wholly unexpected and super trippy direction.
Elliot's mind is a magical place (to put it kindly), and mid-beating, it decides to take him into a warped imaginary reality – an early '90s-style family sitcom complete with garish laugh...

Holy heck. Things are kicking into high gear.
Finally.
Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 5 was probably the most exciting of the season so far (aside from the Mr. Robot Season 2 Premiere's Gideon shooting). At just under the midway point of the Mr. Robot Season 2, the pieces are all falling into place.
In the closing moments of this installment, Dom and Elliot were both attacked (albeit in very different ways), which is yet another parallel between the two characters (social anxiety, isolation, and savant-level brilliance are a few of their other similarities).
But let's back up a bit first. There are several plot threads at play here, and most of them are slowly but surely coming together (Finally).
First, there's Elliot, our protagonist. This season, he's been mostly absorbed with the internal battle waging in his own mind – the fight for control against his "other self," Mr. Robot. Said battle took up...

The predominant theme of this season seems to be that control is an illusion.
Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 3 drove that point home thoroughly, with several characters echoing versions of the same thing: There is, quite simply, no way to remain in control of a life that is, by necessity, random and chaotic.
"Kernel Panic" was, as usual, a brilliant installment of an always-brilliant series. Particularly impressive was the way the show managed to weave in time to significantly develop new characters Dom Dipierro (the FBI agent investigation the 5/9 Hack) and Ray, Elliot's new, very questionable, friend.
To start with, Romero was murdered. Romero was one of the fsociety hackers who was more outwardly suspicious about Elliot and his leadership skills (and sanity). Elliot pulled a gun on him, so Romero's doubts were fair.
We didn't get to see Romero's manner of death onscreen – Mobley found his corpse (and a bad...

Sam Esmail's brilliant drama-thriller is back with a vengeance.
Mr. Robot Season 2 Episode 1 was an immaculately directed, often shocking return to the dizzying world of Elliot Alderson. All in all, it was everything I hoped the second season premiere would be.
I'm wary about two-parters (so long) but in this instance, every minute was warranted. Given that the cast of characters had expanded so much by the close of the first season, it was smart to use the premiere to sort of "catch up" with nearly everyone, while still finding time to introduce new faces.
We first opened on the moment in which Elliot initiated the big, season-ending E Corp hack.
This was a cool choice, given that we didn't see this happen on screen back in Mr. Robot Season 1 – the hack took place sometime between the end of Mr. Robot Season 1 Episode 9 and the beginning of the Mr. Robot Season 1 Finale,...

Things are finally getting interesting on this show.
Well, perhaps "interesting" is slightly too strong a word. At the very least, American Gothic Season 1 Episode 3 introduces several promising developments.
Garrett's plot throughout this installment was easily the strongest of the bunch, and that ending twist opens up some potentially great story territory.
On the flip side, Alison's was semi-interesting, but ultimately went in the cliched direction that I imagined it would. Cam, Jack, and Sophie are a bunch of walking caricatures, and Tessa is far too bland to be enjoyable at this point.
We opened on Garrett stalking a young woman at a diner, which he'd apparently been doing for days, given his little notebook full of details about her comings and goings. But before we found out who this woman was, he had an unexpected run-in with his ex, Molly.
Earlier in the season, Tessa mentioned Molly – she remarked...

Potential serial killer Mitchell Hawthorne (and his corpse) are no longer.
American Gothic Season 1 Episode 2 followed the Hawthorne family in the wake of their patriach's death, as they prepared for his funeral. More secrets came to light and more potential Sbk suspects emerged.
I've decided that Brady is the best (or at least most interesting) character, though he is honestly pretty stupid and a terrible cop.
Perhaps working with the incredibly one-note brash and ball-busting Detective Cutter (who is an actual, offensively transparent caricature of a "hard-nosed lady cop") will do Brady some good.
At the very least, she forces him to challenge his assumptions. I understand that this is TV, not reality, but the idea that Brady would completely ignore the non-laborer workers who were present when the belt wound up in the concrete was so stupid that it actually pulled me out of watching the show. There's a killer among the Hawthorne family. Maybe. Probably.
American Gothic Season 1 Episode 1 introduced the prominent Boston family that is at the center of one big mystery ("Is one of these people the infamous Silver Bells Killer?") and a bunch of smaller, decidedly less interesting mysteries.
Pilots are hard. It's difficult to introduce the audience to your TV show, establishing characters you want to root for and a world that they believe in, while simultaneously laying the groundwork for a story that the audience will want to watch unfold – something that will keep them tuning in, week after week.
Unfortunately, American Gothic is not quite there for me. Yet, anyway.
I make a point not to pass final judgment after a series premiere. Typically, I give something at least five episodes before I officially give it the boot from my TV watching schedule. This premiere didn't set anything up that...

Is this truly the end?
The title card reading "The End" would seem to indicate without a doubt that, yes, the two part finale event comprised of Penny Dreadful Season 3 Episode 8 and Penny Dreadful Season 3 Episode 9 was actually the series finale.
As disappointing and downright traumatizing as that would be, I have to admit that these two hours did nicely tie up nearly every plot point in the series. It felt very series finale-ish.

First, the elephant in the room (review) – Vanessa died. Voluntarily. At Ethan's hand. It was heartbreaking and tear-jerking, but ultimately, it made sense.

Another great season of Orphan Black has come to an end with Orphan Black Season 4 Episode 10.
The finale was a bit hit-or-miss, with a bit of a slow beginning, but it picked up by the final third and certainly set the stage for an exciting season ahead.

As expected (and as I guessed in my review of Orphan Black Season 4 Episode 9), Rachel wound up being the bigger threat after all. Evie was disposed of with no great fanfare (by her own doctor/right-hand man, Dr. Van Lier, via her own technology!) marking her as the inconsequential and rather "small potatoes" villain that she really was.
I think we all knew that Evie wasn't quite the "Big Bad" (nor was Zuko), despite the fact that she managed the rather large feat of killing Kendall Malone, the clones' original. Regardless of that feat, Evie and Zuko...
