[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Archer Dreamland,” Season 8, Episode 1, “No Good Deed.”]
Those waiting to find out the fate of Sterling Archer will have to wait a little longer. Following last season’s cliffhanger ending where Archer, shot and bleeding, passed out in Lana’s arms, Season 8 picks up with a bait-and-switch. The tombstone the entire cast huddles around isn’t Archer’s, but Woodhouse’s. Archer is alive, but he’s been in a coma for the last three months — and he may never come out of it.
He could wake up “tomorrow, could be another three months, could be…” Mallory trails off. “There’s no telling what he knows, or what he’s thinking about. Well, dreaming about, I suppose.”
And with that, we enter “Dreamland.”
As mentioned in our season review, the primary concern with the set-up for Season 8 was whether or not “Dreamland” could prove relevant and/or entertaining enough to distract us from Archer’s life or death state.

This past year, actress Michelle Ang’s performance in the web series “Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462” garnered her an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series. But Ang’s work in 2016 doesn’t stop there, as she also co-stars in the new indie drama “Fallen Stars” alongside Ryan O’Nan (“Fargo,” “Ray Donovan”), which will finally see a theatrical release this week.

Despite differences in age and background, the two gradually get to know each other and begin to share their lives together.

Question: Any word on what’s happening with Revenge? The last few episodes have all felt very series-finale leaning. Will it be renewed or cancelled? And if we do get a Season 5, is there a major revamp in store? —Sean
Ausiello: Based on what I’m hearing about the finale, there would have to be a major revamp if the show returns for a fifth season. Actually, forget revamp — there’d have to be a whole new show.

Be honest: every time you play the lottery, the same fantasy runs through your head, of you sitting in a bath full of champagne, wearing a top hat and monocle, and throwing wads of cash into the air gleefully. Before you’ve even left the shop, you’ve spent half the money that you’re almost definitely destined to win, no matter what the actual odds.
Feeding this fantasy is the many, many movies that have involved lottery wins, and the results for the winners. They are invariably everyman characters, just like you, who need an escape from the mediocrity of mundane life, and who see their universe changed entirely by the huge injection of cash brought when the right numbers come in.
Now more than ever, the experience of buying a ticket is even easier, so that dream can be fed without even needing to go to the shop,...

When it comes to Hollywood people on Twitter, there are basically four different types:
1. Those who just think they're way too cool for tweet school before setting virtual foot onto the platform in the first place (here you have your Megan Fox-style fails);
2. The ones that are obviously controlled by some P.R. lackey receiving triple-filtered fluff to post (lookin' at the noob, Liam Hemsworth);
3. Those other guys who totally should have had someone buffering their tweets and/or should altogether just avoid typing while under the influence of alcohol, anger or any other inhibition-lowering stimuli (most recently, Alec Baldwin);
4. And, mercifully, the select few elite who actually give a hoot and have bothered to figure out what in H is going on with the social networking game. There are many different subsets of Type 4, but they all share one thing in common, and it's very simple: Personality.

You've probably seen Ari Graynor before, yet can't place where. Maybe it was Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist, maybe it was that guest stint on Fringe, or maybe you were one of the only people that saw Lucky with Colin Hanks. But I do have the feeling that For A Good Time, Call... is finally going to be the movie that gives Graynor the total respect she deserves.
The film also stars Lauren Anne Miller, who looks stunningly like Rebecca Hall. And if relative newcomers aren't your thing, the film also stars Justin Long and Seth Rogen.
Of course, this movie is going to bring up that whole tired conversation about women in comedy. Are they funny? Can they be raunchy? What Does This Mean In Contemporary Soceity? Blah blah blah. I'll answer those questions for you right now. Yes, women are funny, yes they can be raunchy, nothing. It...

When Universal Studios asked the magic mirror who would be the fairest movie in all the land this weekend, it replied, “None other than your own, Snow White and the Huntsman.”
The dark adaptation of the classic fairy tale bumped Men in Black 3 off of the throne with a $56 million opening weekend. It was a slight surprise considering Snow White opened to just 3,773 theaters, a wide release certainly, but not as wide as Mib 3, which was still playing in nearly 500 more theaters than Snow White. Universal was able to receive some redemption after Battleship flopped and while it wasn’t the perfect film, we have to say that it was worth it to see Charlize Theron’s performance.
Editor’S Pick: Read Our Review of Snow White and The Huntsman

Each week within this column we strive to pair the latest in theatrical releases to worthwhile titles currently available on Netflix Instant Watch. This week we offer alternatives to The Five-Year Engagement, The Raven and The Pirates! Band of Misfits.
Jason Segel co-stars with Emily Blunt in a comedy he penned with Nicholas Stoller that follows the bumpy journey of one couple from the proposal to the wedding day. Chris Pratt & Alison Brie co-star.
Longing for some R-rated rom-coms:
Then She Found Me (2007) Helen Hunt stars as a woman whose husband (Matthew Broderick) walks out when she decides to adopt. Then she discovers the identity of her biological mother (Bette Midler) and meets the man of her dreams (Colin Firth, major upgrade.) But things get tricky when she discovers she’s pregnant with her husband’s baby.

In scouring Netflix Instant for some horror to watch, I flicked past Lucky, a film starring Colin Hanks and Jeffrey Tambor. Normally, a Colin Hanks film is enough reason for me to keep looking, especially when the cover looks like Photoshop vomit with fake bodies, fake props, and money flying everywhere. What is this? After reading the description though, I figured I’d give it a shot. Hanks stars as Ben Keller, an ‘aspiring serial killer’ who runs into a bit of lucky when he unknowingly murders a woman who just purchased a winning lottery ticket. Well, he knowingly murders her. He just didn’t know about the winning lottery ticket she had. With his new found fortune, Keller wrestles with his desire to kill while courting his long-time crush, a money hungry hottie he grew up with.

I'm thinking this week's episode title, 'Lucky,' was all leading up to Adam & Cassie's epic last scene. Everyone's first time is awkward, but can you imagine how much more awkward it would be if a gaggle of pervy birds were watching you do it from above your house? That's how it was for Cassie (Britt Robertson) and Adam (Thomas Dekker) on the March 15 episode of The Secret Circle when they finally decided to do the dirty -- but there's really much more to the story. It turns out the old legend about the Blakes and the Conants being "written in the stars" isn't just destiny. It's a "curse," at least according to John (Joe Lando), which would explain why all those peeping ravens were fluttering over Cassie's house during sexy times -- and why they're found dead on next week's episode. But that wasn't this week's only major revelation.

HuffPost TV recently ventured up into the foothills of Vancouver's Brittania Mountain to visit the cast of The CW's freshman series "The Secret Circle" on location.
The weather was chilly at the atmospheric old mine they were filming at for "Crystal," the April 19 episode, and the cast members filming that day -- Britt Robertson, Thomas Dekker, Phoebe Tonkin, Chis Zylka and Jessica Parker Kennedy -- were eager to discuss their magical new series.
We'll have more from our exclusive visit in weeks to come, but since the show returns Thursday (March 15, 9 p.m. Est on The CW) after a month of repeats, we asked the stars to preview what we can expect in this week's episode, titled "Lucky."
In the episodes leading up to the break, we witnessed Cassie (Robertson) and Adam (Dekker) growing closer, and now the two star-crossed witches are an official couple, which, according to Dekker is...

It's kind of insane that we're about to start talking about next year's South by Southwest and it's still October. Just last week I reposted a video from this year's SXSW! But here we go: today SXSW announced their first round of film programming, a preliminary list of panels you'll be able to check out next March in Austin, Texas. Highlights include a conversation with "Drive" and "Contagion" composer Cliff Martinez, a chat about arts criticism in the age of Twitter, and the return of the legendary "Jeffrey Tambor Acting Workshop." My favorite panel title on the list? "The Evolution of the Douchebag in Modern Cinema." It's sort of hard for douchebags to evolve -- that's kind of what makes them douchebags -- but I think I know what they're getting at.
The full list of announced panels is below. And, hey, it's not too late to submit your feature...

The folks at Film Four were kind enough to let HitFix premiere this exclusive clip from the film "Lucky" opening in theaters this Friday. The dark comedy stars Colin Hanks as Ben, a fledgling serial killer who wins the lottery and gets the confidence to pursue the woman of his dreams, Lucy, played by Ari Graynor. The dark role is a play off of Hank's usual 'nice guy' characters, and from the looks of the trailer, things get pretty goofy, with Graynor's Lucy eventually finding out about Ben's deadly proclivities, and aiding and abetting him in order to enjoy his millions....

With his nice guy looks and demeanor, Colin Hanks has played a lot of, well, nice guys over the years. But in Gil Cates, Jr.'s Lucky, in limited release this week, the 33-year-old actor and neophyte documentarian throws that image for a loop as Ben, a meek Midwesterner who wins a $36 million lottery jackpot, marries his dream girl (Ari Graynor)... and just so happens to be a serial killer.

ComingSoon.net has your exclusive first look at a clip from Lucky , starring Colin Hanks, Ari Graynor, Ann-Margret and Jeffrey Tambor. In the comedy, opening on July 15, Ben Keller (Hanks) has just won the Iowa State Lotto. The catch? The winning ticket belongs to Leslie Singer, the dead girl in his closet. With $36 million now at his disposal, Ben has the newfound confidence to pursue his life-long crush, Lucy St. Martin (Graynor). But can all the money in the world compensate for the fact that Ben is a fledgling serial killer? Colin Hanks has spent the last decade or so establishing himself as one of the more likable, boy-next-door lead actors in Hollywood. Which makes him the perfect vessel to probe just how much Americans can love a serial killer.
The second generation charmer stars in the upcoming indie dark comedy, "Lucky," in which he plays a bumbling, hapless and lovelorn legal assistant with a secret penchant for murdering blondes. It's a subversion of his normal nice guy role, something that wasn't lost on him when he accepted the role from director Gil Cates, Jr.
"I love watching movies like that, and very rarely do you sort of get the chance to sort of be in the kind of movies that you really like," Hanks told The Huffington Post. "And I'm not disparaging any of the movies that I've been in, each movie is different, but I like being sort of...

With Jason Bateman's Horrible Bosses set to open tomorrow, the inevitable question arises once again: when will an Arrested Development movie be made already? Jeffrey Tambor, who played George "Pop Pop" Bluth on the popular, albeit short-lived sitcom was asked that very question by the Huffington Post while promoting his latest film Lucky starring Colin Hanks.
For once, Tambor's response was much more positive than usual saying it was "all going straight, everyone's on board, I know they're writing, and maybe next time this year will be having this conversation."...

If the creative team behind Fox.s short-lived but beloved sitcom Arrested Development had a nickel for every time they were asked about a potential feature film version of the show. well, they could fully fund the first movie and a handful of sequels. Before the question was even asked, Jeffrey Tambor had the answer ready, on command after years of inquiry.
Yes, the "Arrested Development" movie is going to be made.
"I think what's coming down is, certainly, the negotiation over my trailer is what I think is stopping people," he laughed.
But really.
"No, it's all going straight, everyone's on board, I know they're writing, and maybe next time this year we'll be having this conversation."
That means the Bluth family, the motley crew of Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Portia De Rossi, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, David Cross and Tony Hale will return for the first time since their wildly-maligned cancellation by Fox following the 2006 TV season. A cult classic whose fan base wasn't understood or appreciated by Fox at the time, it's gone on to massive DVD sales and has inspired a consistent internet campaign for a big screen revival.

Watch Colin Hanks get used for his lottery winnings and then go on a killing spree in this trailer for Lucky. Maybe not in that order. Jeffrey Tambor, Ann-Margret, and Ari Graynor co-star.
Coincidentally, Hanks will also be joining Michael C. Hall in the cast of Dexter to play a ”highly intelligent young expert on ancient artifacts who gets linked to a series of grisly murders in Miami.” We do love our lovable serial killers, don’t we? [Yahoo Movies]

What a strange looking, but completely interesting comedy. It's a serial killer - comedy? You don't usually see those two things go together, but if this film is any indication, it just might work.
Colin Hanks, like his father Tom, usually plays the good guy, so it's great to see him in a completely different role.
This is not a serious murder-drama, but a fun, hesity looking film that happens to be about a millionaire serial killer.
How creepy is it that this guy married a woman and then proceeds to kill other women who look like her.
It's so twisted, you can't help but laugh -- even though you know you shouldn't.
Can you say American Psycho? Lucky is set to hit theaters on July 15, 2011.
It also stars Ari Graynor, Ann-Margret, Jeffrey Tambor and Elizabeth Uhl.

Whatever images you may have of Colin Hanks, prepare to have them shattered, thanks to the trailer for the upcoming film Lucky.

[1] Looks like Colin Hanks and Dexter may have a few things to talk about when the actor joins [2] the hit series this season. A new trailer has been released for Gil Cates, Jr.'s indie comedy Lucky, which stars Hanks as a seemingly ordinary guy who's secretly a serial killer. When he wins the lottery, he finds all of his dreams coming true -- he even snags the girl of his dreams. Unfortunately, his win also draws the attention of a detective (Jeffrey Tambor) who's trying to solve a string of murders. Ari Graynor and Ann-Margret also star. Watch the trailer after he jump. I don't dislike the trailer, but I can't say I'm blown away by it, either. It's a fun, original premise -- when's the last time you saw a film about a serial-killing lottery winner? -- so it's a little disappointing that the trailer doesn't look like anything special.

Colin Hanks, it seems, has a real thing for serial killers these days.
Following his TV show failure as a good guy detective in "The Good Guys", Hanks has thrown his lot in with the bad boys. He's already set to feature in the upcoming season of "Dexter," and come July, he'll star as a serial killer himself.
Hanks takes the lead in "Lucky," the story of a guy who wins the lottery -- and likes to murder blondes. He'll be joined on screen by Ann-Margaret, Jeffrey Tambor and Ari Graynor. It debuted at the Dallas International Film Fest, and looks like a lighthearted look at murder -- a tough feat to pull off.

It was recently announced that Colin Hanks would join the murderous cable hit "Dexter" for its sixth season, but few people realize Hanks has already dabbled in murder. Of blondes, specifically.
The new trailer for the oddball comedy "Lucky" showcases Hanks' darkest side -- which ends up resulting in a little bloodshed. His character Ben starts off down in the dumps, but after winning the lottery, everything he's been looking for falls on to his lap. He's made million, won the girl of his dreams (an obnoxious receptionist played by Ari Graynor) and, most importantly, found a way to indulge in his favorite past time: murder.
