- As shakeups force major turmoil at the hospital, Bash and Amira take a trip.
- Rugby player Zeke is brought to Theo by his caring coach for a head injury after a foolish prank bet and underlying morbid thoughts, stemming from utter neglect by his ever-absent parents. Bashir enjoys taking Amira and, to her delight, Raniya, to a kids dance competition and stands his ground he can't 'live more' due to his torture prison trauma. Back in York, he deals with a MERS patient who can barely communicate 'yes-no' and her devoted caregiver Futz, who gets infected. Temporarily living at Bashir's, Theo hoped for financial aid from his father, preacher William Hunter, who surprise-visits him and promotes an alternative approach for the divorce. Even a friendly builder coming in with a prank-resulting nail in his head now triggers Mag's post-traumatic fear attacks. The head nurse helps her hide from Bishop, who has to accept the board's choice for Mark Novak as joint chief but still pushes his idea for more surgery in ER, against counterpart Dr. Aajay Singh, while Dr. Wendy Atwate feels passed over once too often and resigns.—KGF Vissers
