Fantastic introduction
StephenRcribb18 May 2021
When a short film is better than the main feature it accompanies. Kamandi delivers all the Easter eggs and service it possibly can. This feels like a post apocalyptic world right from the 1970's. The opening scene itself is a homage to the cover of issue one. Absolute spot on Jack Kirby likenesses. 18 minutes that flew by, is a good sign of some quality entertainment from D. C. it's a shame that this wasn't the main feature. Ending sets up a possible sequel which I am now wanting to see.

Pretty good

First, I like that there seems to be no woke politics forced into the show. Rare these days.

Reminded me of cartoons from a better time. Just entertainment and some good values sprinkled on top at the end. More of this, please.

For what it is...

Short and predictable but entertaining nevertheless. It would be worthwhile for DC to look into making a live action version of this, that is of course if DC hand the brains to reboot their cr4p universe. The DC animated movies were excellent around the 2010s but now they are a mixed bag on a good day but in a bad way, hey, hey know what I mean? This animal of an animated short is worth a watch. If you are reading this, I am guessing you probably watch the movie and just came to see what over people thought about it. My official review is summed up by these words; it is good.. give it a view and see for yourself.

Very good

The eleventh animated short film in DC Showcase series. As Kamandi's first solo story outside of the comics, they made it very interesting with a shocking and exciting twist at the very end, revealing the true identity of "The Mighty One".

I loved this animation style that is unique and different from the other DC Showcase shorts.

Perfect Kirby Tribute

I love everything about this! The voice cast, the backgrounds, the character designs, the opening title and ending credits sequences, literally all of it captured the 70s Kirbyness of Kamandi for me. To me, this felt like the pilot to a Saturday morning cartoon by way of Jack Kirby, and I desperately want more. I would love to see this continued in some form.

He man gone bad

Terrible conglomeration of planet of the apes,he man,and any other super heroes they could possibly throw into this mixed up mess.

First he is not a boy.

Secondly he is not the last male.

Third, throw in superman and none of this would have happened.

When does skeletor or batman and robin show up?

He man rode a tiger he rides a cricket. Haha.

Kamandi is an unpopular character ,,, but Dc shows him in a great way.

Loves to see that DC is introducing such characters in its Animated series.
