- Six months have passed and Nancy is ready to give birth and marry Esteban - until she discovers a secret he's keeping.
- Six Months Later
A very pregnant Nancy showers as Esteban mocks baby names. "Who would name a son Humphrey?" he says. "Mr. and Mrs. Bogart?" Nancy says.
Then she gets out of the shower and Esteban matter-of-factly hands her a jewelry box. "I have decided we will get married." The prized family heirloom is an enormous purple ring.
She walks in the other room to find a naked Esteban on the bed. She laughs. The ring is the championship ring of a soccer team he owns. He's going to want it back. Then he gives her a real ring - roughly the same size, but diamond. "I ask that you give yourself to me," he says. She says yes.
At the medical marijuana store, Silas tries to explain to their extortionist cop partner Pete that he can't have weed without a prescription. Pete mentions they've been light the last couple of months. For effect, he points his gun at Silas.
Over breakfast, Nancy asks Shane if he notices anything different about her hand. He knew Esteban was going to ask her. They had an hombre-to-hombre talk. Pretty much everyone knows, except Andy.
Ignacio comes to take Shane to summer school, teaching him some helpful Spanish phrases along the way, like how to make someone pay up. They decide to ditch school.
Back at the Ren Mar house, Andy concentrates on arcade Ms. Pac-Man with a full Grizzly Man beard. Silas asks Andy how much he has left from the Judah money. Only a couple thousand. The living room is filled with arcade games. And then there's the General Lee in the garage.
Cut to the garage, where Celia is leaving in what appears to be a Foot Locker uniform (but is for "Super Sneakers"). She goes inside for a ride and finds her daughter spray tanning Doug. Because, Doug explains to Isabelle, she's the only one he can trust not to get turned on.
Downstairs, Andy plays Ms. Pac-Man in a trance, not breaking contact to answer a call from Nancy. He ignores it. Then she kicks in the door. She leaves him a message, explaining that she misses him and wishes he'd talk to her. She tells him the Esteban news, talking into her phone with her back to him. She finishes up with "...and please don't have a scraggly moonshiner beard unless you're starting a cult, in which case...go beard."
He continues playing as she walks to the door. She waits for him to say something. When he doesn't, she leaves. Finally Andy reacts. "F---."
At the pot shop, Doug tells Silas he found a George Hamilton biography in the bathroom and is striving to be like him. Silas tells Doug about Pete's threat. Doug says of course they're not selling as much, Pete's always hanging around and no one wants to buy weed in front of a cop.
Doug proposes they ask themselves, what would George Hamilton do? "The man slept with his step mother when he was 12 years old, clearly he can do anything."
Ignacio and Shane play hooky, laying on the horn at the driving range. Ignacio teaches Shane more explicit Spanish. When a golfer flips Ignacio off, he jumps out of the car and beats the crap out of him with a golf club as Shane watches from the car, horrified.
Nancy goes to visit Guillermo in jail, just to let him know she's not Esteban's whore, but soon-to-be Mrs. Esteban Reyes.
She wanted to tell him that the other day, Esteban said the funniest thing, telling her he'd do anything for her, even kill for her. Guillermo asks if she means a DEA agent, because if so, she did him a solid and maybe they won't have the glass between them soon. She tells him he's not going anywhere.
At home, a jolly Igancio finds Shane and says they had fun yesterday and what should they do today? Shane scampers off.
Celia, hobbled in her fancy heels, misses the bus to work. Sitting at the bus stop she sees a woman pull up in a convertible that says "You're Pretty" on the side. She watches as the woman applies lipstick and pulls away. Then she pulls back and gives Celia her card. Rayleen Reynolds likes her shoes. She works for You're Pretty cosmetics. She offers Celia a ride.
At the pot shop, Silas worries about Pete lounging in a hanging chair. Doug suggests as a kid George would do the dumbest thing possible just to worm out of trouble. Then he tosses Pete out of the chair, telling him to stop driving the customers away. Pete swings at Doug but misses and falls, knocking himself out as he hits the ground.
At home, Nancy asks her soon-to-be husband what Mrs. Esteban Reyes is supposed to do. He tells her to keep her name if she wants.
After a rousing fencing match, Esteban towels off as Andy the Mountain Man wanders in. Andy was Ren Mar JCC Light Saber Battle Champ 79-82. He picks up an epee and makes light saber noises. He limply congratulates Esteban, saying there's no hard feelings. Esteban asks about what. Andy goes back to light sabering and Esteban offers a "friendly bout." No way this ends well.
Esteban goes en guard as Andy quakes. He fends him off for a while. Nancy comes to investigate the sounds just as Esteban disarms Andy.
Andy goes to talk to Nancy in the kitchen. He thinks the marriage is sudden. He's still stung by the note. He gives her his blessing in Hebrew, the remnants of divinity school. She says she's sorry. Andy says when Esteban dies, making her a widow for a third time, don't expect Uncle Andy to stop by to make pizza bites.
Back at the Ren Mar house, Doug tries to wash George Hamilton off his face.
In her kitchen Nancy watches as an attractive angry Hispanic woman storms through and starts yelling at Esteban in Spanish. Loosely translated she's saying, it's OK if that whore has his baby, but to marry her... Nancy probably understands the last part when she says "gringa."
She leaves. When Esteban walks in, Nancy asks what that was all about. He tells her they can't get married. Things have changed.
